The Maui Seaside Hotel was in a beautiful location with very nice amenities. We had a very nice breakfast in the restaurant and the check in desk was staffed by very friendly employees. However, the rooms were musty and had soggy carpet from recent rain. The rooms were in need of upgrading and were overpriced for the current condition.

The hotel and the room is clean and nice. I am happy to stay with the hotel. But the price and the list that I can get from the offer is different when I headed over the hotel. The offer I saw at the Expedia it said $30 food and beverage credit per room, per stay. But we got nothing nor any informed from the staffs. Also on my receipt from Expedia it said I only have to pay $100+ at the hotel. But when we arrived, they charged me $200+. I don’t mind to pay extra maybe for the resort fee and the parking, but I just curious why after we checked out, they can’t send us a list for the charge; at least let us know what we spend on.

Room was not ready for 4:00pm, check-in. We tried to check-in at 4:30, and the lobby was full of people still waiting for their rooms. We didn’t get into the room until after 5:00pm. This site does not include the daily ‘amenity’ or ‘parking’ charges which is another ~$40 - $45 per night.

Very convenient and affordable for our one night stay after arriving late into Maui. Quick taxi ride from the airport. The room felt clean, but it was very very dated. Walls looked like they may have had mold or dirt around all the corners, and the bathroom fixtures definitely needed attention. The AC in our room was very old and loud making it difficult to sleep. The rooms were also quite dark even with all the lights on. The outside grounds of the property were very nice and updated, and the staff very friendly and inviting. The beach right on the property is a nice bonus

Our room was not ready when we arrived at check-in time. The room itself was nice and newly renovated but the hotel in general seemed dingy. The building exterior needs a paint job and our ocean view room also overlooked what looked like a storage field.

My stay was for the night of 2/8/2026. I tried calling for the complimentary airport shuttle to pick me up. No one answered. They'd pick the phone up and slam it down. I ended up paying to get to the hotel because it was a nonrefundable reservation or I would have canceled. I was also supposed to receive a $30 food voucher as part of what was promised as an Expedia VIP member upon checking in. The clerk said I didn't qualify. I complained by text to Expedia and Maui Seaside. I received a text at 9:10PM that I could pick the coupon up at the front desk. Of course the restaurant was closed by then and I wasn't able to use it for dinner as planned. It was an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience. Expedia should remove this as a VIP property.
