Nice hotel close to the convention center

Pros: Location
Cons: the price per night was very expensive based on other hotels and amenities.
Location: I attended a conference at the convention center it was a short walk close to shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
Hotel was nice close to everything downtown staff was very nice and willing to help you with your needs. Rooms were a bit small but very clean and comfortable.

Nothing to write home about. Stay elsewhere.

Pros: Overpriced older remodeled hotel, small rooms.
Cons: Housekeeping DAILY. Different coffee machine. Hot water when you need it.
Location: Great location for downtown and Lucas Oil Stadium events
Hotel is in good location for Lucas Oil Stadium and downtown. An older hotel that has been updated. Very small rooms, didn't even have a comfortable chair to sit in while relaxing in the room, unless you want to sit in a modern Desk chair, which was not comfortable. On day 2 of our stay, we had slept in until 11am, got up, and took COLD SHOWERS, there was no hot water. As we left, we told the housekeeping staff we would like our room cleaned now. Got back to the room at midnight, had not been serviced (bed unmade, no fresh towels, no coffee replinished, etc.). Called and informed front desk, said nobody from housekeeping was available. He brought up fresh towels and coffee. Spoke to manager next morning, and he comp'ed our breakfast. Whoopee. And, they have these "espresso machines" that are TERRIBLE..... just put a $10 Mr. Coffee in the room would have been a SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT, it only gave you at most half a cup of coffee and even then it wasn't good coffee. Overall, for greater than $250 per night, it was a mediocre experience at best. Will definitely stay somewhere else next year.

Beautiful hotel in downtown Indy

Pros: Style, decor, staff, comfortable rooms and bed
Location: Plenty of things close by.
Booked a room at le Meridien for my birthday weekend. When we got there I had a little chat with concierge about our plans. He was a really nice guy and he wished me a happy birthday and told us we would be staying on the top floor, corner room. Now so far the hotel was beautiful, but when we got to our room I was really impressed. The room was comfortably modern and had an amazing view of downtown. The next morning after a late night of celebrating we woke up and gathered our things to head down to the lobby. It was quarter after eleven and glass of coffee was a must, little did I know they stopped serving coffee eleven. No problem. The concierge ran back and grabbed a hot cup of joe real fast. I don't think I would of made it out the front door without that cup of coffee. All in all it was a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Indy. The only negative thing was when I received my final invoice there was a significant charge for the restaurant in the hotel. I wish I had the time to visit it because it looked like a cool place but I had dinner and drinks elsewhere. I called the concierge that checked us in and he said it would be refunded. How the charge made it on to my account is a mystery but I still waiting for it to be refunded to my card.

Nice, but....

Pros: Clean
Cons: Bed sheeting, A/C airflow
Location: Downtown Indy, close to all restaurants, Mall, etc.
Very new and modern, almost sterile. Staff friendly and heplul, but a bit "casual" for my taste. Did not retain any of the charm and elegance of the old Canterbury (it's predecessor) in the renovation or operation. Room was very clean and well appointed in a spartan "scandanavian" way. Bed was comfortably firm, but triple sheeting with a heavy duvet made it difficult to get to a comfortable place...A/C blew directly on my sleeping face. All-in -all, just "OK" for a supposedly upscale Inn.

New hotel when I stayed

The place had just opened up the week before so giving some slack on this one. The rooms are smaller - which was perfect for me as I was by myself. Staff was the best - especially the door man. I felt very safe there and it was in a great location. I got an online special price - but other than that it is too expensive for me as I go to Indy once a month. The only negative thing was I didn't have any hot water in the morning, they were still working on that. I wasn't happy - but the staff new exactly how to handle it, and I appreciated it.

Friendliest staff

I was there opening weekend and they had many rooms that were not ready including ours (it was also the Big 10 championship). The staff was very helpful and tried to make accommodations while we waited. We had a dog with us and they gave him bowls and offered to take him out while we were at the game. Some of the best staff I've ever encountered
