How many airports are in Houston?
There are four airports in the Houston area:
- George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
- William P. Hobby Airport (HOU)
- Ellington Airport (EFD)
- Sugar Land Regional Airport (SGR)
You’ll most likely arrive at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, which is located on the north side of town, about 21 miles from downtown. When you get off the plane and your fur babies need to heed nature’s call, take them to the grassy pet relief areas available in Terminals A, B, and D before you start tackling a Texas-size itinerary.
Touching down at William P. Hobby Airport is extra convenient if you’re staying downtown at say, Four Seasons Hotel – Houston or one of our other central pet-friendly hotels in Houston. Located about 10 miles southeast of the heart of Houston, this is also a great place to land when you plan to visit the Space Center. No trips to the moon before taking care of business at the animal relief areas east of baggage claim and north of the passenger pickup area.
