We stayed for 10 days at the Wyndham Viva Fortuna Beach in April 2023. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here. The resort is a tremendous value and the employees are incredibly helpful and friendly. The main reason we choose this all-inclusive resort is because of the small reefs right off the beach for snorkeling and the easy access diving. The PADI Reef Oasis Dive Club on the property is wonderful - from giving scuba certification instruction and refresher courses to boats leaving right from the beach to amazing dive destinations only a short distance from the resort. Great for families/friends with various levels of experience to dive together. This trip was no exception- the Dive Shop made the trip! Thank you to the manager Michael and his competent staff, including a special thanks to El and Jaron who we had the pleasure of diving with on our trip. We highly recommend this resort and dive shop! Great beach. Fairly quiet and very family friendly. Didn't like the buffet offerings at all food was lukewarm or cold, the "special" nights (bbq night, international night etc) didn't occur. There were 3 restaurants on-site you needed reservations for; not sure why. Again, food was mediocre.

The only good thing about the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach was the grounds and the staff. I really tried hard to find good things to write, but our room was booked as a "Superior" room. We were less than impressed with the room. It was dated and old, upgrades were attempted but clearly sub par contractor. There was unfinished carpenter work to the door, walls and tile. I took pictures that show the really unacceptable conditions for a Wyndham property. The staff was really amazing, upbeat and friendly. They are the reason your resort is still operating, besides the amazing lush grounds and beach (not yours to claim). This was our first visit to the Bahamas. We own a company and was looking for places to hold company incentive trips. To say the least the Viva will not be an option for us. On the trip home I sat next to a student who went to your resort for spring break and was extremely disappointed with the resort, she is a senior in college and your establishment did not meat her or her peers expectations. It is unfortunate, this could be a true Diamond of a resort, the staff is there and the surroundings. Wydham should urgently spend some time and money investing in their potential property for the future.

This is the worse unsafe vacation I have ever been on. Never again!!! I have asked for a refund and it has gotten me nowhere, it is a complete scam to send people there!!
