"The location is great for the Colosseum and there are lots of places to eat nearby. Staff were lovely and really helpful, but the rooms could have been better. We had two family rooms and they were both looking a bit tired and dated. We'd have really liked usb charging points for phones etc and a smart tv would have been good, as there was nothing in English that we could find to watch, The bathroom was clean, but it took ages for the water to heat up and the shower was very low pressure."

"The hotel has been recently renovated and feels brand new. Both the lobby and the rooms are clean and very well-kept. However, because it is an old building, there is a noticeable sewage smell near the stairwell and elevator entrance. Management tries to mask this with a heavy perfume spray from the lobby to the rooms. Honestly, I would still give the property 5 stars despite the smell, but I have to deduct stars due to the frustrating AC system. It features an aggressive energy-saving sensor that makes it nearly impossible to operate. Even after a staff member helped us set it to 22°C, the unit and the fan shut off after 15-20 minutes because it falsely detected the room was cold enough. There is no option to run the fan independently for air circulation. Because the sensor constantly shuts everything down every 15 to 20 minutes—even when tried set as low as 20C and 18°C—the room became incredibly humid, stuffy, and uncomfortable. For this reason alone, we probably won't stay here again on our next trip to Rome."

"Breakfast on the expensive side. Some items on the room could use a little attention. The TV kept hanging. It was also, not straight on the wall. Lights near the bed did not work. Light on the desk shared a plug socket with the mobile phone charger plug. So needs to unplug the light to get the phone to charge. Staff overall great, check was not the best. But got there in the end."
