"Lord Byron Hotel in Rome is excellent in every way"
This Boutique Hotel gives impeccable service with a helpful friendly staff. The room was quiet, spacious and restaurant was wonderful and very accommodating if one wished to have an off menu item. It is north of Borghese Park so a cab is requires to travel to city center etc.The Flaminio Metro stop is approx 20 min walk from hotel. If looking for a respite from a busy sightseeing day, this is the hotel for you!

"Loved staying at the Aldrovandi!"
Staff were very accommodating at all times, and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. Room was extremely comfortable and perfectly sized, and the twice-a-day turn down service was much appreciated. My only complaint about the hotel would have to be the Internet service. For business travelers, don't expect Internet to be consistent at all! If at all possible, bring a hotspot with you; you're asking for trouble otherwise. All in all, a wonderful experience, and I will certainly be returning!

"Quite Pleased, By Far the Best We Experienced"
This was the best place we stayed over the course of 10 days in Rome. Clean, clean, clean ... every corner in every space was clean; no grime or mold or mildew, which is no uncommon in many hotels. It is a bit more expensive than other hotels in the area, but well worth it. The general area is quite safe and many sidewalk restaurants in the blocks surrounding the hotel. Grocery store across street. Literally, it is one block from the huge Termini train station, which has hundreds of awesome and affordable food vendors. Good choice and good location. Plenty of busses and Metro station within 200 yards, perfect for sightseeing.

"Nice location by the water, but not easily accessible"
The location of the hotel is gorgeous, right by the sea, and you can hear the waves at night. Finding the hotel though, is a different story. We had to take two different trains from Central Rome and one bus to get there. If it wasn't for the nice bus driver we would probably have missed it. It is relatively close to the airport, but it is still fairly expensive to take a cab to the airport (40 Euros or so). We arrived there in early June, and the room temperature was pretty high at night, even with the nice sea breeze. The air in the room was not working, and when we called the front desk, we were informed in a fairly rude tone that the air is not to be turned on until one week later, since it was not yet considered to be summer season. It was a bit uncomfortable to sleep in the heated room. Breakfast was excellent, and included in the price. The croissants were amazing! All and all, still a pleasant stay, and a nice, modern, clean room that you can't get for this price in Central Rome. I would stay there again!

"Our 8 night stay at Venetia Palace Hotel"
My wife and I enjoyed our 8 night stay at the Venetia Palace Hotel in late September. The hotel was in a convenient location just 3 blocks away from Termini Station. We walked to Termini Station every day to catch a bus or the metro. This made getting around Rome very easy. The breakfast buffet was excellent. You had various choices of breads, yogurt, fruit, cereal, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, bacon, sausage (looked like a hot dog), cheese, and ham. They had orange juice and a machine that offered hot chocolate, hot water, coffee, expresso, and tea. I could not believe how creamy the hot chocolate was and my wife loved her 2 cups of coffee every day. They have a steam room and sauna which was nice and free to use. You only needed to make a reservation for using it but that was never an issue. They have a Jacuzzi on the 6th floor roof which was nice to use. Wi-Fi was good running at 6Mbps up/down stream when I tested it. There were times it kept disconnecting. Overall it met my needs for general browsing, checking email and skype. I found all the staff to be very friendly and responsive to our needs. We had 2 separate problems with the sink in our room leaking and clogged. The staff quickly addressed both problems. The day before I was leaving I went to pay my hotel taxes. I asked if the breakfast area would have any food at 5:30am. It didn't but they offered me breakfast bags for my wife and I to take to the airport. I would definitely stay here again.

"Good location "
I will list the pros on this hotel first. 1. Good location. 2. Friendly, helpful staff. 3. Excellent breakfast. 4. Small, but very clean, attractive room. 5. All the staff spoke excellent English, which was helpful to us, since we don't speak Italian. Now the cons. 1. Very hard, uncomfortable bed. 2. Noise from other guests when they returned to their rooms. (Doors are squeaky and impossible to shut quietly even when trying)(we were in annex). 3. Paid for our room on Travelocity, but when we arrived that there would be an additional city tax due at the end of our stay and that it must be paid in cash. This is not something that I blame the hotel for, but it was an unpleasant surprise.
