Rome Stop on a 5 City Italian Tour

Pros: Location
Cons: Let guest know about the city tax when checking in.
Location: Excellent location. Colosseum, Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, restaurants.
I'm a USA traveler with extensive experience overseas and SF and NYC visits. When I stay in a large metropolitan tourist spot I like to be as close to the center of activity. So I find location is paramount to my vacation experience and will be somewhat forgiving to the lack of hotel amenities. Hotel Delle Nazioni satisfied my requirement nicely. It's walking distance from the Rome Tetmini train station, and to the Colosseum, Vatican, Pantheon, and other Rome sites. The room was bigger than what I expected based on SF, NYC, London, etc comparisons. The shower was a bit tight given the rather spacious bathroom. The breakfast was very generous. The 2 amenities that are of particular note was the use of a smartphone that comes with the room. I used this phone for google maps directions and other internet based help while in Rome. The other was a heated towel rack which came in handy the 2 days it rained to dry our clothes. The only caution is paying the 6€/pp/pn city tax when we checked out, they only accept cash.

Felt like home

My girlfriend and I very much enjoyed our week long stay at this hotel. There was a nice breakfast every morning, and the staff at the hotel were very friendly and available at all hours of the day to help with anything we needed. We stayed on the the top floor with a courtyard view and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better room. The room was a little small, but during our week, we found it to be a comfy refuge from the fast paced bustle of Rome. The location is perfect for walking to basically every major spot in Rome. The location also gives you the unique opportunity to visit the Trevi fountain literally by yourself in the early morning. Truly amazing. I really have no complaints and will likely consider Hotel Delle Nazioni for my stay the next time I visit the city.

Great location, worn down hotel though

Pros: Across the street, grocery store very close. Close to Trevi fountain.
Cons: It needs to be rehabbed. Painted, floors redone bathrooms redone. Update decorating
Location: Trevi fountain is very close. Grocery stores close great restaurant across the street. Restaurants all around.
Great location, worn down hotel though. Paint peeling and very scratched floors. Everything was very clean though. They had a good breakfast. They had very helpful and courteous staff. It's a little old and worn, but the location was fantastic. Close to great restaurants, a very good one right Across the street, grocery store very close. Close to Trevi fountain.

Hotel Delle Nazioni

Pros: Clean spacious comfortable rooms. Courteous helpful staff. Excellent location. A real bargain.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Adjacent to Trevi square. Very near the Pantheon, Navona Square, Barberini Square, Campidoglio. Near Vatican, Castel Sant' Angelo, Colosseum.
I arrived early, and was checked in immediately, without having to wait for a "check in time", like so many other hotels have. The hotel is 200 ft from Trevi fountain, in the center of Rome, equidistant from the Spanish steps, the Colosseum, and the Vatican, all within walking distance. An added bonus is a taxi stand right outside the hotel door. My room, a junior suite, was spacious by European standards, and included a 12x12ft living room, a 12 x 12ft bedroom, an 8x9ft bathroom and a 4x6ft walk in closet. Staff was available 24 hours a day, and always friendly, courteous and helpful. I felt very secure and comfortable here, and would like to stay here next time I visit Rome.

1 Block away from the Trevi Fountain

This hotel is less than a block away from the Trevi Fountain and just minutes away to the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, and Piazza Navonna...Great location! The rooms were large, clean, and best of all, air conditioned!

Nice hotel, good location

This hotel is about 2 minutes away from Trevi fountain and close to lots of other sights as well. The hop on/hop off bus stop was just down the street too. The room was very small but very clean. The bathroom was large and very nice. The staff was excellent- courteous and helpful. Their free breakfast was very good with a variety of dishes. They had eggs, bacon, cereal, pastries, breads and cold cuts. The food at the restaurant connected to the hotel was excellent, even if it was a little pricey. My favorite were the three waiters who served us dinner each time we ate there. Such personalities! I looked forward to dinner and seeing them in the evenings!

Great location in City

Pros: Location, friendly staff, cleanliness and breakfast included.
Location: Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps and lots of cafes and shops in surrounding streets and alley ways.
Clean room, comfortable bed, clean room and great location, about 10 yds from the Trevi Fountain. Recommend cab from train station, although it can be walked. Lots to do in the neighborhood, cafe's and wine bars and shopping. Cab ride to vatican and coloseum recommended. Don't get a car while in Rome, can pick one up near the train station and drop it off at the airport if traveling around Italy. Hotel staff helpful, fully fluent in English. Cabs waiting outside hotel if you need one. Also close to the bus line and on/off bus tours. Not convenient to the Metro,
