Great Hotel, Perfect location

Staff could not have been friendlier, location was perfect. We walked to every thing in Rome. Metro station right at the hotel as well.

Hotel is clean and staff is very helpful.

The bed is very comfortable for someone like me who has back issues. The hotel staff is very helpful and knowledgeable with our needs. The hotel is very accessible to most sites in the city. The only negative is that we find the shower stall to be cramped in a two cubic foot space. However, an upgrade to a bigger room with a larger shower stall is available.

Pros: Warm friendly staff. Great happy hour.
Cons: The logistics of the use of rooms space was odd.... but really cat change that.
Location: Great location. Close to metro and within walking distance to most major sites
Just returned from a seven night stay at the River Palace and loved it. Great service and location, polite and helpful staff, delicious breakfast and the best happy hour. My one suggestion to would be customers is to avoid the rooms with the spiral staircase, which happens to be the newly constructed wing. It made it a little inconvenient going up and down stairs when getting ready in the morning. Other than that, a good bang for the buck and I'd happily return. Show less

OK hotel

Pros: the location
Cons: Better service
Location: the location was good and public transportation was easily accessible.
The rooms are small, The cleaning personnel did not remove empty water bottle from the room. The elevators are very small and it was an inconvenience to go to the 8th floor because you have to switch elevator and it is very slow.

Small room

Staff was great and hotel nice. Great way to meet people at the happy hour lounge. Nice breakfast buffet. My only negative is the tight bathroom and not recommended for a senior with limitations, but overall would recommend to anyone else!

Great Hotel

Pros: See comments above.
Excellent Hotel with helpful friendly staff. Most of the Rome attractions are within walking distance for most people. We walked everywhere from the Hotel and really enjoyed walking around Rome experiencing the various sites as you go. The morning breakfast at the Hotel was excellent with a varied selection of items for everyone. We really enjoyed the breakfast each morning. And all the servers at breakfast were also very helpful and courteous. You could even order a special cappuccino or espresso. Rooms were on the small side as they are throughout Europe, but comfortable. Hotel was very quiet and clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Location and access to Rome sights.

The staff were very helpful and thoughtful. Somehow they found out my sons' birthday and provided a muffin, fruit and chocolate platter, which they loved! They also provided directions, information and were always very friendly. Great buffett, very clean, rooms were small but that's kind of standard for Europe, and beds/linens were very comfortable. Also, great happy hour to snack on!

Nice and cozy

Pros: We loved the breakfast variety and the room where we enjoy it. The happy hour was great too. There was enough food to dine and half price drinks.
Cons: Not really. There are no options to expand the room, but that's exactly what we would loved, a bigger room for the three of us.
Location: It's located near the train station and a main avenue with lots of shopping. There are also a few restaurants walking distance.
We truly enjoyed our time in this hotel. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms were beautiful but small. It was pretty tight and difficult to move around. Everything was so elegant and very fancy. We did not like the location, but it was very close to the train station and the shopping areas.

Convenient hotel in Center

Pros: Clean, renovated, professional staff
Location: centrally located to heart of Rome
I am a frequent traveler to Rome, usually staying with friends, but I needed a quick night somewhere convenient to get to the airport. This definitely fit the bill, especially since I got a great deal on Travelocity. It is a five minute walk to the main metro, then to Stazione Termini and the train to Fiumicino. The hotel is recently renovated. Sparkling clean, good breakfast, professional staff. Though it is right on the Via Flaminia, my room was completely quiet. Comfortable bed, nice desk, etc. 2 minute walk to the Piazza del Popolo.
