From Approximately 30 minutes after checking in to me ending my stay the following morning it was A Horrible Experience, No Supervision on Site, Stink Bug Infestation in my Room due to Housekeeping leaving a Window open in room they looked like previous residents of room pried the screen until it was broke of which I’m sure Bugs got in that way, My skinned crawled all night. Morning staff stated night staff were not properly trained and yeah apologized, however I was traumatized all night looking around. Yes I Tried several times to resolve this. No Manager was available, very odd on One of the busiest nights of A Hotel. I’ve never in my life of Traveling experienced this. I strongly wouldn’t recommend this to Business Travelers at all. I didn’t get any rest and of course CANCELED AND REFUNDED MY SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT I WAS ORIGINALLY THERE FOR. Unacceptable.

Comfort Inn Greenfield Village has an ideal location near Greenfield Village, The Henry Ford, a bus stop, and several restaurants, making it convenient for travelers. The basics are covered with clean rooms and free breakfast, but the property needs some TLC—worn carpets, dingy walls, and dated furnishings could use updates like fresh paint, new flooring, and brighter common areas. My biggest frustration was check-in: even though I called ahead about my late arrival and had already paid through Expedia, I was still asked to pay again. With better upkeep and smoother front desk service, this hotel could be a much stronger choice.

The room was clean and met our basic needs. However, the property itself feels quite dated and could benefit from some renovations. We stayed for just one night, and for that short stay, it was acceptable. That said, the price felt a bit high considering the overall condition of the property.

While the check-in process was quick and the staff were generally accommodating, the facility itself is in serious need of a facelift and deep cleaning. The carpets needed vacuuming, there was a noticeable smell of dampness, and the furniture was very outdated. The breakfast options were also quite limited and unappealing. Overall, if it weren’t for some of the staff being kind and helpful, it would have been a miserable stay.

There is one minor deception in the property description...yes, they are 3/10s of a mile from Greenfield village but you cannot walk from the motel. There are several chain-link fences and a busy railroad in that short distance. It is a significant car ride to get between the hotel and the entrance to the Henry Ford complex.

Location to Greenfield Village and downtown Detroit However would not recommend as we had to move 3 times in four days because of no hot water or air conditioning wasn’t cool. Then were told it was out in the whole building. Also when asked for extra towels they didn’t want to give them to us. Breakfast was ok but disappointed for sure.
