Great Hotel above DTW Delta Terminal

Pros: Convenience for a 6 AM flight
Cons: Towels for two in a double bed room
My only complaint is that I booked a double room for two people but there were towels, water etc for only one person. Otherwise the experience was more than satisfactory.

Great Hotel! Very quiet! (which was my initial concern since it's located at the airport)

I would definitely go back.

I love that it was attached to the airport! Genius! Was able to get dinner in the airport and take it back to my room. Felt like being at home really. 11 out of 10.

Short stay for easy morning flight.

Pros: Modern design, very nice rooms, good staff, good bar/restaurant, and a short walk from your room to Delta check-in.
Cons: All good.
Location: Nothing to do nearby, which is why the hotel is a great place to wait for a morning flight.
After a long vacation trip around Michigan, I wanted to make it easy to get to my 10am Delta flight the next morning. So, I booked the Westin which is inside the terminal. (I've done this before on other long trips, making the end of the final full day at a hotel near the airport). Checked in at 6pm, out by 9 the next morning. This worked perfectly at the Westin DTW.

Serene hotel environment to stay in

Its worth the stay. Our boarding was well facilitated though T mobile network services was very poor. Otherwise, l will recommended and still use the hotel for my short stay.

Great airport hotel though not cheap - right in airport so very convenient for layovers.

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, in airport
Cons: No free Internet
Just make sure that you eat in airport or shop or do currrency exchange or whatever you want to do before you check in because it is a pain to go out and in - the entrance to the hotel is basically a security checkpoint. However it is only manned when requested. We wanted to go out and get a bite, so the reception desk called for a security officer - which took some time - then they check your passport or id or whatever and write you out a pass. then you go through the metal detector and all that. If your pass is not for the same day that your flight is - ie if you do this in the evening and your flight is the morning of the next day, then you are required to do a full pat down since they don't have a body scan machine there. The hotel has a pool and hot tub - nothing fancy or attractive but functional. The lobby is attractive with a large "fake forest" of trees and a well landscaped restaurant. Rooms are nice but pretty bad view - the terminal building if an outside view although it did seem like some rooms look onto the internal lobby space with restaurant and aforementioned fake forest. You have to pay for internet which is surprising for US 4 star hotel. Tip - the concourse entrance/exit of the hotel which puts you in concourse A if you don't have to check luggage, is convenient when you leave but if you leave first thing in the morning, this entrance only opens around 7:30-7:45 and a large snake line of hotel guests is waiting to get out. Only one security officer and conveyor belt, so leave PLENTY of time to get through security. Don't assume that just because you are in the airport already and in a concourse that you can just breeze out.
