Everything was great until I saw where I overcharged on my credit card, however the monies are being refunded. The hotel was very clean and staff was courteous, the breakfast was WONDERFUL! This was my first time in the area. Will definitely stay there again

Single and afraid

I am a female traveling alone. Front desk gave key to room 101, Last room on main floor next to outside door. Went back desk immediately, checked out. Manager said I could not get a an immediate refund would be 5 to 7 days. Will not use the site ever again.

We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention. Guest safety is very important to us and remains one of our top priorities. I am very sorry to learn the location of the available room caused some concern and you chose to leave the hotel. I know we would have been happy to check other rooms for you to ensure your comfort before you left as we understand the inconvenience of finding other accommodations. We hope this billing issue will be resolved quickly with the site and hotel. Thank you.

Conveniently located hotel

I was in the area for a seminar. The location was good, ; however, I lived in the area years go. The staff was very friendly. There were adequate hot and cold breakfast choices. I rated room cleanliness at 3 because of a large stain in room carpet. High cost area. Price was ok for the area, but I get a suite usually for that price at Country Inns and Suites in other cities.

Thank you for being our guest and sharing your recent trip with us. I am pleased to hear the value and friendly staff made for a nice experience. We are sorry for the stain on our newly updated guestroom carpet, we'll look into this further and try to remove that better. We do hope you consider another stay.

Bad Choice

Pros: The only thing I liked about the hotel was it was only 5 minutes from the event I was attending.
Cons: Everything could be improved. The rooms were old. The staff was very non- shalant, at times unprofessional.
It was a overnight stay for an event I was attending in the area. When my husband and I checked in,our room was not supplied with enough towels and wash clothes. We informed the Front Desk Clerk of the issue at which time he did provide us with towels and wash clothes. Our second issue was the smoke detector alarm beeping all night. We informed tne new Front Desk Clerk, who had relieved the previous Front Desk Clerk, that we were having a problem. The Front Desk Clerk was very non shalant and did not take any action. He just stared at me. When I requested something be done, he said the Maintenance man would come and take a look. The Maintenace person never came. The third issue was there were some unsavory characters around the area of the hotel. A Police Officer came and stayed at the Hotel from 11pm until. I was not pleased at all. It was a horrible stay.

Nice hotel for location.

There could've been a tv guide provided for the channels, as well as more information in the room about the hotel and services.

seemed understaffed

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
Cons: Nothing close
My room was not ready when I arrived at 4:45. After waiting 30 minutes in the lobby, I was told that I COULD GO CHECK MYSELF to see if my room was cleaned!!!!!! There was nothing in the room indicating the phone number of the front desk, a map of the hotel layout, or the breakfast hours. At breakfast, there were staff members talking loudly to each other about very personal things that I did not want to hear. Wake up call was a wrong time 1 of 2 days. I was not told where anything was located at check in, such as the elevator. The people working the desk were nice, but seemed stretched very thin and forgetful of typical courtesies.

Stay far away

I am writing this at 2AM from this hotel. Waiting for the basketball game in the room above to settle down so I can sleep. II am a big fan of CI&S. They are my favorite brand of lower-priced hotels. But this one has been horrible. I started writing this in paragraph form and ran out of the allotted words, so I will summarize: - very sketchy part of town. reflected in lobby arrangement with key card required to get from lobby to hallways. not like a normal warm/friendly CI&S - front desk didn't have my reservation. didn't seem to care about fixing it. - ignored my request for a quiet room on the top floor - poor wireless connectivity - broken alarm clock. front desk has no spares. tried to get one from other room, twice, and those were also broken. - both bedside tables dirty with something sticky on them - both desk clerks I dealt with just don't seem to care
