Lots of comfortable common space with free wifi, suite also had nice amount of shared gathering space with plus of private bedrooms. Great price for extraordinary location right downtown.

I was walked in on by the Supervisor. He claimed to not have known that the room was occupied, although he had a room list in his hand. I suggest that you all review your room checking process to ensure that room occupancy is updated in alignment with the room checking intervals. I requested a refund and will be contacting corporate, if my refund is not honored

First stay in a hostel, good experience

I've never stayed in a hostel before this trip, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. We stayed in a private double room. The facilities were clean enough (I kept finding random hairs everywhere that definitely were not ours, but that doesn't bother me much). The bedroom left something to be desired - there was literally just a bed and a small nightstand barely large enough to hold the lamp on it. I wish there was a least a medium sized table for us to set our things on, but we made do. My only real complaint was regarding towels. On our first night we used all (two) of our towels. We put the do not disturb sign on the door and went out the next day, and came home to find our towels were missing from our room, but they had not been replaced with new towels. It was a rather simple fix (going downstairs to the front desk to get some more), but it was an inconvenience that I feel shouldn't have really happened in the first place. If housekeeping came and took the towels, they didn't make the bed or touch or move anything else. None of our stuff was missing, just the towels. Just an odd occurance. The staff was friendly and pillows were nice. The blankets were fine and the mattress was good. Not a bad nights sleep. I'd definitely recommend the hostel for someone looking to come to Chicago on a budget.

Nice one.

Pros: price, location, and facility
Cons: If the window can prevent the noise from the train, and it would be perfect to stay.
location, service, and price is very nice to stay. However, it's quite noise when the subway passing during the sleeping time.

Hostel for all kinds of travelers

Location: In center of everything, bars (South Loop Bar) & grocery stores nearby (Target, Trader Joe's). Direct EL to Midway Airport.
Clean, safe, good atmosphere - I was traveling alone. Hostel also had families, couples, convention goers. Great location and price, amenities really complete. Room was large, comfortable bed, bathroom en suite. Next time will come with partner and reserve private room. Some travelers mentioned EL noise, so I requested and got room on fourth floor, opposite end of tracks. I heard the trains but they didn't keep me from sleeping.

Worst place EVER!

It was the smallest room with bunk beds that were too short for me to sleep on and I'm not tall. It was like the built the room for a child. You only had enough room to walk to the bed and climb the ladder. I felt like the bed was going to break any second. It was just s mattress and no box springs. There were sheets and no blankets. The a/c was set for one temperature, hot, and we were not allowed to change it. They had us sign a sheet saying we read the rules, one of which was, if dissatisfied full refund within an hour but they wouldn't refund our money after 5 minutes. The paint on the walls was peeling and all and all it was the worst place I've ever been. Don't go here if you have any standards in life.
