Lisa, at the front desk was very friendly! The breakfast was very good, nice selection and different items every day. The hotel was easy to get to surrounding areas of Chicago, we did have a rental car. The area was very pleasant. We liked the close 7/11 and Italian restaurant across the street.

The stay was good but the Pool was not clean, it was Muggy and we couldn’t see the bottom of the pool, which no pool should be Muggy, and we were looking forward to the pool and we asked about it but it still looked the same after maintenance looked at it

Gold standard of traditional American hotels

Wife and I made a 4 day - 3 night trip to Chicago. The hotel is your traditional long house style American hotel that we're all used to, however, it was the best one I've ever stayed at! Everything from the staff to the food to the pool, was everything you'd ever want from an affordable hotel stay. Alba, as well as all other worker ladies at the morning breakfast were working around the clock making sure everything was clean and stocked. My wife and I have stayed at 4-5 star hotels in many huge US and European cities, and this hotel beat almost all of them when it comes to the feeling we had leaving the place. We STILL talk about the breakfast. The hottub also worked, which is a plus. Parking can be right outside of your room if you orient yourself. We didn't feel unsafe in the area, the commute to downtown Chicago also wasn't that bad. Overall very very good experience. Gold standard for what it's supposed to be.
