How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Park City

If you like the thought of spending more time at the airport bar and less time moving through security on your way to Park City, follow these handy tips:

  • Have your passport and boarding pass somewhere accessible. They'll be the first things you'll be instructed to produce by airport security staff.
  • You'll have to put your tunes on pause for a short while. Earphones need to be removed and placed in a tray to be X-rayed. The same applies to items such as belts and heavy jackets.
  • Everyday electronics such as tablets, laptops and phones are always put through the X-ray machine separately. Be sure they're easily accessible.
  • When it comes to traveling with liquids and gels, all passengers are permitted a quart-sized clear resealable bag to keep containers no bigger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
  • Untie your shoelaces before approaching the body scanner. Depending on what sort of shoes you've got on, security may tell you to remove them.
  • Some destinations have stringent quarantine laws. Consider where you're off to and whether or not it's permissible to fly with fruit and meats.
