"The Fontaine is in our rotation when traveling to KC. It continues to be very suitable for its location, cleanliness, comfort and value. Are the rooms in need of updating? maybe, but not to extent of calling them tired. We love visiting the bar on the 7th floor off the pool deck, though pool was not open for the season yet on this stay. Some of the best happy hour drinks you'll find anywhere! On matter of bathroom towel racks, none except one in the shower, not sure why there aren't any on the bathroom walls. Regardless, we'll be back, "

"The hotel pics looked nice and clean online, rates as good. The room we were given had a hole in the wall, 2 of 3 lights did not worn, the AC did not work, was dirty and looked nothing like the pictures. I immediately asked for a refund. The desk clerk asked for phone and email, said they would contact the manager and let me know. I never heard from them again, but did get my credit card info hacked and fraudulent charges by the next morning, using my email. Booked at 154/night, in reality it is more like a 39.99/night hotel or hourly special that I would never stay at. "

"We had such a wonderful stay. They thought of every detail you could possibly want to make your stay relaxing and fun. Write down to the wonderful throws, books, and games. It was clean and comfortable. The bed were quite comfortable and view from the rooftop was great. I would definitely love staying here again. "

"If you are interested in a luxury hotel, there are better choices. This place is overrun with children, people laying on the floor of the lobby, people in sweats and pajamas hanging out in the bar. It is a newer hotel than some of the beautiful hotels on the plaza, but I will from now on choose to return to the plaza. Valet parking was never an option. Doormen were inattentive and not helpful. Front desk slow and not responsive to concerns. We did have a lovely dinner at 1587 and I hope it will soon find a new location for the restaurant. "

"There was no soap in the bathroom and there isn't even an ice machine in the entire building. The staff was Inattentive and rude and I didn’t feel like they cared if I used that facility or not. The bed was clean and comfortable and the kitchen had a microwave and fridge but that’s it. You can definately stay there and it's decent, but bring your own soap and shampoo and fill the ice cube trays in the fridge as soon as you arrive because they don't bother to fill them when they clean the room ahead of your booking. No toaster or coffee pots provided. Air conditioning was adequate but I was disappointed in this facility."
