I was very disappointed with Travelocity and their handling of my reservation. I perfectly understood the "no refund, no change" policy. However, the morning of our reservation we woke too ill to make the trip. On a long shot I contacted the property and Travelocity to see if we could possibly make other arrangements for another date. Your staff was gracious in trying to help with our situation and informed me we would receive an email with their decision. Our intention was to pass it on to friends but we never received a response. To date we still have no heard from Travelocity. As a result we are out over $500, evidently with no recourse. I would appreciate a response. For reference our itinerary # was 7494089548189. Email address adkinsmash@yahoo.com . Your response would be much appreciated.

Intercontinental Stay.

Pros: View, balcony, location
Cons: added charges for Wi-Fi, parking, incidentals.
Location: Shopping on plaza with amazing restaurants. Walking to fountains and along Brush Creek.
The overall comfort of room was acceptable. The Plaza view was nice and the balcony was an added pleasure (although small). The location is perfect for walking to plaza. There are quite a few "hidden" charges to be aware of. There is a daily fee for parking whether valet or self-parking--no choice to be charged. There is an additional "hold" on credit card for incidentals. There is an extra charge for Wi-Fi. Just compare "deals" with all charges, taxes, fees etc. in mind.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with feedback from your stay. I am very glad you enjoyed our cider and hot chocolate that we provide in the lobby this time of year, I will be sure to pass your compliments along to our food and beverage team. Beginning in January, we will be renovating all of our guest rooms in the building. We are very excited for the new look our hotel will have and we hope you will come back and enjoy it with us

Best place on the Plaza

Pros: Staff. The win hands down.
Cons: Not a thing.
Location: It's on the Plaza. That means shops and truly fabulous places to eat. Jack Stack BBQ. Houstons Steakhouse. It's goes on and on.
I've stayed here before over many years. This time I had more time to spend around the hotel itself. The friendliness of the staff was astounding. During any hotel stay you hope to find a person or two who are pleasant and good to deal with. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. This is a "stand out" feature of the hotel. It's very well kept and clean. Room was great and they gave us a free upgrade so that we had access to the concierge floor. I honestly say enough good things about the hotel and it's employees. It's an easy three minute walk down to the Plaza so it's location is a no brainer.

Excellent Hotel, Excellent Location

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet
We were in KC for a wedding and are glad we stayed at the Intercontinental. Shopping and restaurants are terrific at the Plaza, which is within walking distance. I only wish I had brought my running shoes!

Overpriced

I was very surprised after the cost to find snot smeared on the light switch plate and cobwebs in the corners of the room. Upon check out, front desk did not act like it was an issue when I brought it to their attention. Even took pictures with my phone. Would probably have stayed again.
