Cons: We thought we could get a room with a better view being a member for the chain.

Don't waste your money

I was charged for items in the room I didn't open and have attempted to reach out to the manager with no success. When I arrived to the room there was an open and half drunk bottle of water from a previous guest. When I called the front desk they apologized and sent 3 "complimentary" bottles of water to the room. They still failed to remove the dirty water bottles from the room and apparently charged me. There was also urine in the toilet seat. When checking in to the hotel the person at the front desk was very unfriendly. When I told her I was checking in she blurted out "photo ID and credit credit card." When I handed her my ID she could see that I was pulling a credit card out of the wallet but still said "and credit card!" in a demanding voice." Before checking out I asked the front desk to have the valet bring my car up. I came down 15 minutes later and the valet stand didn't know I was waiting for my car. So that took another 20 minutes. For such an expensive hotel I was shocked at how unfriendly, pretentious, dirty, and all around disappointing this stay was.

Very high class

Pros: Location
Cons: Staff
Location: Great location
Nice hotel, great location. The lady that helped us to our room was great, but everyone one else acted like we didn't exist, maybe we didn't hand out enough tip's I'm not sure. Our room didn't get cleaned until late in the evening when we were trying to get ready for dinner. I have spent a lot less per night and got much better service.

Great Hotel and Convenient to the Theater District

Pros: Modern, clean, helpful and pleasant staff.

If you are visiting Boston and planning on visiting the Theater District, this is a great choice. It is also proximate to China Town area and a quick walk to the Boston Commons. It is not a downtown venue so be sure you have an idea of what you are looking for in Boston. We found the hotel very clean; the staff very helpful and welcoming. The facilities are kept in fresh condition. We would definitely return to this hotel as a choice for travel to Boston.

I was treated like a second class person because I did not book the room though the hotel booking site. Check-in staff and her 2 supervises stated that since I had already paid for the night through Travelicity, I could not check in before my daughter under whose name the reservation was in. She was at a business meeting. If room was not prepaid with Travelocity I would have been able to check in.

Great Staff -Harry C saves the day

The W in Boston is a great hotel. Very comfortable and very chic at the same time. And the staff was amazing. I was having trouble printing out my tickets to the Sox Yankees game and Harry C at the front desk actually had me email them to his personal address so that he could print them out for me.

Class and no sass

Courteous staff. Superior quarters. Excellent concierge and treatment. Fair pricing. As a business traveller, I will recommend the W my vote. I have never been disappointed with a visit to the W Hotels. Well done, again.

poor quality, bad service, tacky

Cons: No free Internet, Noisy, Poor breakfast
#1. Why would anyone want the bathroom separated from the sleeping area by a thin screen-like wall? This dysfunctional design borderlines on poor taste. #2. The doormen, 'welcome talent', valets and concierge staff were mostly uninspired smiley faced tip-hustlers who appeared to be lacking in charm and experience. #3. The uncomfortable, hipster styled lobby feels like an outdated waiting room in an architectural firm. By night, it's more akin to a bad dance club from an old S in the City re-run. ugh. Overall, the Boston W values its tacky raver style over substance, and because of this, it lacks personality. The cold, contemporary atmosphere is clichéd and not relaxinHousekeeping, concierge service, and amenities are all very average for a hotel in this price range. Rooms are small and noise is an issue. We could clearly hear our neighbors, plus there's lots of street noise. The windows actually rattled in the wind. Beware...the W will nickel and dime you...nothing is included. Parking is a whopping $50 a night, and even internet access is $15/day extra. At the end of the day...this hotel is an Ikea styled mid-life crisis.
