This hotel is not as represented on the website. The hotel itself is "rustic" to say the least. For the price, there are better options available in Banff downtown. The hotel is definitely walkable and the Roam bus has a stop a block away. The facilities are outdated and the room was not very clean. Not family friendly. Was OK for one night, but would have sought other accommodations if we had planned to stay more than one day.

Pleasant and helpful check in. However, I had to leave a few minutes before 7 a.m. in order to take a bus tour. I was up on the 2nd floor and found the entrance to the elevator and main office locked up. So I had to lift my baggage down the outside stairway in order to exit. I’m sure others have had similar experiences.

The property is located in a good location. Walkable to central Banff, provides bikes for customers. But the hotel needs some serious updates to its property. The carpet is torn in many places and stinks. Drapes are old and moldy. The AC barely works

The location of our room ..upstairs..made it impossible to use the luggage carrier. The ice machine was really inconvenient. The elevator was turned off when we were ready to check out and had to use the stairs...very inconvenient.
