The garden is absolutely gorgeous and a wonderful perk seeing as I was visiting for Sakura season. I enjoyed the old school feel of this hotel, though some might want "newer" fixtures etc. Very tall people note that the ceiling height in my bathroom (and some other areas) seemed to be about 6'6 or so...

Nice but no air in our room

The hotel was very nice but we have a few hiccups and disappointments. Because there was a complex of hotels with the same name we showed up to the wrong Hotel at first but were directed to correct hotel. Although our room was not ready we were able to leave our luggage with bell services until check-in. Our room was nice but there was no air in any rooms according to the staff. Their recommendation was to open a window. The bedding was comfortable and bath was clean. It would've been nice if the hotel offered streaming services as the only channel available in English was BBC. Shinagawa station was not far but it was down a hill which was tiring to navigate back and forth. There was a shuttle but only between their hotels and none for the station. Restaurants on property were available but not with a large variety. The room was spaciously compared to some Japanese rooms so that was a plus.

We selected this hotel since it is a Seibu Prince property; could have also selected the neighboring Sakura or Shin hotels but chose this one. Hotel garden (share with the other two) at night was very nice to walk, great light features and had two blooming cherry blossom trees - ahead of the actual season. Location also selected as the Shinagawa train stations and Takanawadai subway station were close. Staff very nice and accommodating. Room selected was spacious compared to other Japan hotel rooms we've stayed at. An added plus was the Lounge Komyo; excellent for light dining. Will book again when we return to Tokyo.

Really nice hotel but my room was super clean with a plaster stuck to the headboard. The VIP benefits were also not that clear and other people staying on my floor were pretty loud.

The hotel was very good. They were not too accommodating at check in. The gym within the Grand Takanawa only has a few machines and a couple exercise. They told me I could not use the much better gym at their associated hotel without paying extra. You can only use the sauna and whirlpool at that hotel complimentary. The room was fine with a great view of Tokyo Tower. The bathroom was very small and the desk chair was just a stool.If you have club access you can have happy hour at all three hotel club lounges and Sakura Prince has the best food and drinks. The breakfast in the Takanawa club lounge is a bit limited but adequate. The hotel has lovely Japanese gardens and pools which are seasonal, so they weren’t open during my visit.The location close to Shinagawa station is excellent for getting around Tokyo. Overall the stay was very good.

First day we arrived early to the hotel, after a long flight we asked if they have early check in, they said “NO”. So we had to walk around until check in time. During our stay, the AC was off, so our room had a portable Fan that doesn’t blow cold air so the room was pretty much always hot. The GYM is not a gym as it only has 2 treadmills and no weights! After walking 20k steps daily why would anyone want to do cardio? Add some weights into that room. When asked if we can ship our luggage to the airport they said that it needs to be done 2 days in advanced which does not make any sense because when we shipped our luggage from the airport to hotel we received them same day! Also what are we supposed to wear for the next 2days without our luggage. Lastly what really was a dealbreaker was that now when we wanted to do late checkout they also said NO! Not once did we feel like our accommodations were met. Don’t recommend this hotel at all. It’s 10minute walk away from the Shinagawa train station but the hotel is located on a hill so you will be walking up and down that steep hill everyday if you use the train.

Up on the top of a hill under going construction to the road so very inconvenient and no warning prior to staying Hotel itself great, big and clean, with a 7/11 on site. Just a pitt about the walk up to it
