Nice place, very comfy bed. The ceiling fan sounded like light rain falling (at least that’s what I imagined ;) ), which helped lull me to sleep. They also have a sound machine available- a very nice touch.The air conditioning was great on the unseasonably hot March days! We were welcomed with home made cookies, which I enjoyed! It is a nice location very close to the Truckee River (though there is construction along part of the river and the closest bridge). It was a nice walk to the “strip” on Sierra street and to several restaurants along the river.The only “less-than-perfect” aspect was the shower/laundry. The shower is tiny, about 3’x3’, and shower head completely stationary, on the other side of the shower are the stacked laundry machines in another tight space and is only accessible via walking through the shower; however, it is a clever use of space to be able to offer laundry if needed for a longer stay. No TV, but that was a good break for us - lol! You could probably get more modern accommodations for a lower price at one of the Casino resorts, but those rooms may have lingering smoke smells and loud neighbors on the other side of the wall. This cottage was very quiet and we slept very well!
