Perfect House

This house is perfect for family and friends. Great living area space!! All bedrooms have a bathroom! The house is located in walking distance of much! Great patio space. Beach is perfect!!!!

Locked downstairs thermostat

Cold outside, hot inside. Owner would not give out pin to adjust heat on the google nest thermostat downstairs (to turn it down). They at least appeared to have changed where the system automatically went from heat set on 70* to ac set to 64* in the evenings, where you would go from being uncomfortably hot, to now cold. You can tell people have beat on this place pretty good, so in a way I cant blame them. But a thermostat can simply be set with reasonable limits to prevent abuse of the HVAC system while providing the guest with opportunity to adjust for comfort.

Needs some TLC

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It's location and the home are beautiful, but the outdoor furniture on both porches is completely stained along with the fabric bar stools inside. So much so, that we wouldn't sit on them without towels. They need preplacing are a deep through cleaning. We reported that the bathrooms needed lightbulbs replaced, the toilet paper holder was broken off the wall and the guest bathroom door lock kept locking by itself. This was not the case with our first stay. We told the property manager we didn't feel the need for them to be addressed while we were there, but they definitely should have been addressed before anyone's stay.

Great location

Very spacious house located in neighborhood with an easy walk to the beach. We chose to drive to the pool but you could walk (10ish minutes.) Cute center of town with a couple of shops and 2 restaurants, very busy though! House is as described but could use some TLC - ice maker (separate from fridge ice maker) doesn’t work, there is no TV in primary bedroom upstairs, which didn’t bother us but brackets are still on wall making it look very unfinished. Many light bulbs need to be replaced and minor plumbing issues at nearly every toilet (i.e. didn’t flush consistently, runs constantly, etc.) I understand it is a rental but it doesn’t appear much thought is going into even relatively simple upkeep. No major complaints but would be even better with some attention! Overall, the house met our needs and we would recommend!

Awesome!

We really enjoyed everything about this house. We can’t wait to stay again someday, it’s absolutely perfect for kids except for the stairs. They can be a hazard for little kids for sure but we just had to make sure to be watched at all times. Hopefully a gate can be included at some point but that really was our only issue. Great location.

The house was beautiful, clean, well appointed and perfect for a large family group. Wish it came with a golf cart as it was a bit of a walk to the pool for the oldest in our group.

Except....

The house was perfect size and separation for 3 families. The refrigerator had issues from day one. However, we didn't realize it wasn't working til day 3. We just thought we were overusing it. Maintenance came out very quickly. They didn't actually fix it until the evening before we left. Living out of a wine frig and constantly buying ice for the cooler wasn't easy with 3 children under 5. We were somewhat compensated but ended up having to dine out more than we planned. Other than that, we would return.

FANTASTIC!!!!!

It was so easy, VASCO/VRBO really have it done there job well; everything was exactly as written & pictured. The communication, emails, and texts were clear, specific, and problem free. Windmark is safe, beautiful, family friendly, and everyone was very kind. The home was exceptional, stocked with everything we needed, and any questions we had were answered immediately. We tell people it’s a one stop shop and the only way to plan for a great vacation experience. Thank you for all you do!

Amazing House. Host/Small Things were lacking

Really great place. Couldn't beat the ease of getting to the beach, the community feel of the neighborhood, access to the pool, plenty of space, wrap around porches, showers in every room...it really was awesome. Honestly we had a great stay because the people are more important that the house. But with that said, the house had some issues. Upon arriving the upstairs A/C wasn't working. Called Vacasa (the property manager) and they responded very quickly and resolved the situation, A/C was up and running within the hour. Awesome....5 stars. However, some other things started to be off or not working. The house is for 14 people, and the fridge has a small ice maker. There is an ice maker built into the cabinets...but it didn't work...and looked like it hasn't worked for a while. I can get bags of ice, but a heads up would have been nice. The dishwasher stopped working half way through the trip. Contacted Vacasa and they said they will work on it. After not hearing back, I called and they "were working on it". A day later I called again after no communication from them. The dishwasher needed to be replaced (even though we are pretty sure no one came by). 3 days go by and our stay is now over, and still no dishwasher. Then there are just other small things: Low pressure in sinks, a grill that hasn't been cleaned in multiple months (that we had to put out a fire when we started it up), the very minimum amount of towels, and a microwave that wasn't working until we found the breaker that needed to be reset. Again, great spot and nothing that would have made us leave or that ruin the stay, but for the premium price this house is offered at, we would have expected a higher level of communication and a better quality of the small things.

Very nice. Great layout of house. Great neighborhood. I would rent again. Super nice. There are a few recommendations I would like to make. Need some dish rags and more dish towels. Ice maker did not work well.

Great Vacation!!!!

This house is amazing. There were 13 in our group with 6 adults and kids from ages 4-11. The kids loved the bunk room and the adults loved the large bedrooms and baths. The beach community was great as was the pool. One of our best vacations!!!

Great home!

The home was spacious and perfect for our group of 6 adults, 3 children, and an infant. The home has a Pack 'n Play, which was one less item we had to pack. The beach is a short walk down a boardwalk and was uncrowded each day of our stay. Canopies are allowed on the beach and I highly recommend one for the hot summer months. The kitchen had everything we needed. We did realize we should have brought aluminum foil/ziploc bags for storing leftovers. The stand alone ice maker wasn't working but is just a convenience item. The only amenity that would be helpful on the 1st floor is a larger mirror. I'm short and could only see my head in the medicine chest and vanity mirrors. Lol! Highly recommend this home!

Everybody was happy

Even though it shows in pictures, room with 2 bunk beds was enjoyed by kids and young adults. The other room with a queen and a loft was also a hit. House was clean and appeared as it does in the pictures. Having several areas with TVs allowed different groups to hang out together.

Son’s wedding weekend

We had a great five days in this very large, beautiful house celebrating my son’s wedding. The house has some maintenance issues but the management team communicated well and addressed the issues. The house is very nice and perfect for large groups.

Spacious home at the beach!

We loved the bedrooms and extra large living room couch where we could chill out with a movie after a day at the beach and pool. Pool was great, especially since we could swim in the Gulf due to a red tide. Comfortable bedrooms, plenty of space for everyone. We didn’t see any beach chairs or umbrellas, etc. when we arrived but we called the property manager and they were able to provide us some. Some of the TVs didn’t work but we made due. Grill also didn’t work when we tried to use it and we ended up having to cook our seafood in the oven- just a little inconvenient in the moment. Overall, it’s a beautiful house and we enjoyed our stay!
