Website didn't clearly disclose parking wasn't free. Desk attendant when I checked in was superb and accommodated me. Rooms were very clean. "Service" in the bar is what yielded my lesser rating. Staff repeatedly touched face or hair and then touched drink glasses without washing hands in-between (when I nicely noted such when I had to prompt for service after waiting 30 minutes, she denied such but I had seen trainee touch hair and not wash hands several times). Staff person was training new person and I am patient with that. However, after acknowledging us, no further contact for 30 minutes until I went up to the bar. Bar was not even half full, others were served and re-served before our initial service. And another 20+ minutes before we got our fish tacos. Staff person said that customers had to come to bar to order, but I saw staff go to tables.The staff person did bring our party of 5 a small bowl of chips and some salsa, an appreciated gesture but still no food. I am usually a generous tipper but I left no tip on the bill. And no evening restaurants within walking distance. At checkout, desk person said she couldn't print a bill/receipt because I had booked through Expedia. I think I booked directly, given that the prompts I received after I booked on-line were all from Aloft... Emailed receipt later was from Aloft. Except for that, this hotel has much to recommend - across street from Sky Train to airport, good front desk staff, very clean, quiet, safe.

Great place to stay before our early morning flight. I wish the parking went by a 24 hour period instead of changing the day at midnight. We left at 4:50am and had to pay for two days of parking.

They are very open that the area is not safe. Although they have a bar with food , it never opened the night I was there as staff didn’t show and no one else could open it? My room felt dirty the phone didn’t work They did have a shuttle that would take you to get food within a 3 mile but I don’t want to go out yet that was my only option to get dinner food. Heard gun shots the morning I was leaving and my driver said it was not a safe area !

The bar was closed on a Saturday. We could hear street traffic most of the night and into the morning. The surrounding area was a little rough but no one bothered us. Also, we had to drive a bit of a distance for dinner. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Our room was nice and clean and staff were friendly.

Checking in was a hassle because they couldn't find my reservation since they were putting the name in wrong. They could never give us a full amount of how much we owed. They charged us 3 times all different amounts. There were no towels for the pool. We did not have any soap.
