The rooms themselves are merely adequate, it is an old property, the beautifully walkable grounds and quality of the service make up for the room being somewhat rough. The only parking option is valet, and theres an overnight fee for keeping your car there that no one mentions.

The staff was awesome, I want to make that clear. That being said, my wife and I were disappointed with our stay. They made it right with the physical problems when asked. However, I don’t want to spend my vacation calling about one problem after another for two days, and become those people. Although, when paying $650 a night (before the fees they add on), you feel let down when you feel that you get a lot less than you paid for. Our patio started covered in branches and leaves(they came to clean right away when asked). There’s romantic in a dark room and then there’s an old dark room. We felt the latter. The bathroom was not temperature controlled (or it didn’t work) and no ability to open the window in it, so it was probably about 80 degrees the entire stay which is hard to get ready when you are sweating. The shower was nice and big at least. When we woke in the morning, we found what appeared to be dry blood stains on the duvet at the foot end of our bed. Neither of us were bleeding. The iron/ironing board left black dirty spots on our clothes. The list kept going it felt. The grounds, bar, spa & restaurants were well maintained and beautiful. Also, our view of the mountains was pretty. I won’t deny that. However, with everything going wrong in our room, I felt disappointed that I spent around $3000 for two people in two days here. My wife & I REALLY wanted to love it while celebrating our wedding anniversary, but we didn’t.

We love the grounds, they were beautiful and peaceful. The staff are kind, friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and decorated very well. We loved the outdoor patio and spent a good deal of time on it. Thank you for the wonderful resort. We will be back.

Spanish colonial, beautiful old world architecture. Very picturesque, seemed to be an amazing spot for weddings too.

Truly a gorgeous property. My casita was really comfortable and I loved having a little patio to myself. Mix Up bar was great - Tim and Benjamin stood out as great bartenders. Full menu from T Cooks and a bar menu were available at bar. Food was great. The grilled octopus and the huevos rancheros stood out! The live music in the bar was perfect - just right volume and great mix of songs. All the staff were friendly, wifi was great for an IT professional that had to work her first day there. Pool was a bit crowded - a smallish area and lots of demand! Pool staff were great at keeping up with everyone's requests for both water and cocktails.
