Home of Paris' oldest and most prestigious university (La Sorbonne) and the oldest neighborhood of the city, the Latin Quarter got its name due to the fact that until the 17th century, Latin was the only language spoken in European universities. "The hotel booked a wedding party for the rooftop and restaurant so it was closed to all other guests one night. They did tell us the week before we got there, by then it was too late to find other accommodations. But when we were able to eat at the restaurant it was excellent and the staff is great. Rooms are super small but the trade off is the excellent location."

"Great location, quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurants, shops and delightful pop up markets. 3 blocks away from Notre Dame Cathedral, easy to walk everywhere and close to a metro station. Excellent exposure to a Parisian life- not overrun by tourists. Locals are friendly and lovely. The Hotel staff are helpful and sweet. I look forward to booking my stay here in the near future and so should you!"

"Fantastic customer service. A shout out to Laurel, he was very helpful in getting me a taxi to catch the Eurostar train to London. There was some traffic jam caused by an incident so I had to wait over 30 mins. Thanks to Laurel’s persistence he finally managed to get me a taxi. The hotel room was clean, had great air conditioning, bathroom was fantastic, location was great and had a few brasseries and a Pret a Manger just next to the hotel. This was perfect when we just wanted to grab a drink or have dinner nearby after a long day of walking around Paris. Will definitely stay here again. Also, just a few minutes walk to Jardin Luxembourg. Grab a croissant or yummy dessert from Laduree across the road from the garden and sit on one of the many green chairs and enjoy!"

"A well-located small hotel right off the Boulevard St. Michel, a block from the Sorbonne and several streets walk from the Seine, providing a great view of Notre Dame. The hotel has several floors, and they were kind enough to give me a better room on my 2nd day. The reception area is tiny, with one clerk, all of whom were kind and spoke English, though they complimented me on my French, which I prefer to use. They have a small restaurant that I didn't use and a downstairs recording studio to play music, I guess. There are books throughout and in each room, but I wasn't in Paris to read. It is only two blocks walk from the Luxembourg RER station, making it very accessible to get to the airport. Be warned that my train only stopped at Terminal 1, though it was supposed to go to Terminal 2, causing a bit of chaos. The hotel is somewhat high priced for the facility, but the one next door charged twice as much, so perhaps this is Paris today (NYC was even more expensive, I learned). So, all in all a nothing special hotel, with easy access to attractions, as the area is a tourist spot in itself. And you're in Paris to get about, not to loll in bed all day."
