The hair dryer was practically broken - made lots of noise, smelled like it was burning and barely dried my hair. There were a few bits of flooring chipped, and a hole in the wall where the hinge of the door broke through and I had to kill a few bugs/roaches but it is Florida...Slightly musty/used to be a smoking room type smell.

The room was clean, air conditioning worked well, the room had a microwave and fridge. The bed was a little uncomfortable but otherwise a reasonable place to stay.

The Red Roof Inn was perfect in every way except for no hot water in the shower. It was very clean, bed was comfortable, nicely decorated, conveniently located, friendly staff, but no hot water.

The front deck took 30 dollars from my deposit for towels that had soda on them. All they had to do is wash them. Was not necessary.

Red Roof Inn Ocala

We booked this hotel through a third party app and we checked in after midnight on a Saturday night so this might not have been one of the best rooms in the hotel. There were several long black human hairs on the beds. There was also a slight musty odor from the A/C unit (which is common in Florida). Otherwise the room and most other areas of the hotel were in decent shape.
