New, clean, friendly & practical

I LOVED my room & this property. Admittedly I was a bit trepidatious of the location, safety & distance to public transportation. But one I arrived the staff was so kind, the building refurbished & the room was brand new with a great view of NYC, clean and even had a mini refrigerator (thats not a usual commodity in NYC like it is everywhere else) The subway was just a short 4 blocks away & only 2 stops to Manhattan. For the price you can't beat it. Shout out to Sam the manager for the giving me a complimentary late check out after I had worked till 3am

Overall it's a no frills hotel with no security and questionable cleanliness. But, it was much cheaper than other hotels, five minute walk from Subway, the neighborhood wasn't that bad, and overall the room was satisfactory with the exception of some very awful pillows. Security is severely lacking. The hotel doesn't require key card access after hours and anyone can enter the building and have direct access to the room. In addition we found the front desk workers were away from the desk multiple times as we entered or left the building. The key card has writing on it stating not to leave valuables in the room and to not open your door for anyone. I find it odd they needed to write this yet didn't implement simple key scan access at the main doors or elevators after hours. The room looked very clean and comfortable but you can notice many surfaces do not get cleaned. The vanity, corners, and light switches haven't been cleaned in a long time - the dust clearly shows this. But the toilet, sink, and tub appeared to be clean. It's loud. You can hear everything. But again, you get what you pay for. Honestly it didn't really bother me but it's worth knowing. On a budget I'd stay here again. But anywhere outside of New York City I'd call this hotel a 2 star or less.

Treat yourself better, don’t stay here.

If you’re traveling for work and can only stay here, just stay home and use zoom instead. It’s a very uncomfortable hotel, tiny rooms… the shower water was coming out brown at first. It was 80+ degrees on my floor, during the winter.. which was awful.

It was very disappointing to go during a Christmas holiday and the hotel not even be a little decorated. The whole point of going to New York during a holiday is for decorations and to have a hotel that couldnt even hang a wreath is sad considering all the hotels near this one had trees and lights. It made the hotel feel ghetto and lazy.

I loved staying in hotel the villa! The check in and check out process was smooth and quick. I felt welcomed since day one. Our room was clean and peaceful. No noise at all in the halls or next room. The restroom and elevator were clean and beautiful. It would have been nice to have a coffee machine or little corner section in the lobby to prepare coffee. Limited options on the cable tv. Super grateful for the heater and room service
