Perched up among the treetops with a long-range view of the mountains, this beautiful Murphy cabin is a place to retreat into the splendor of your surroundings. Fill your days with outdoor adventures and your evenings with sunset barbecues on the wraparound deck, s'mores and stories by the firepit, and soothing soaks in the hot tub beneath sparkling night skies.

This cabin sits on four quiet, private acres about 14 miles southwest of downtown Murphy. The immediate area is full of opportunities for hiking, rafting, mountain biking, waterfall-chasing, ziplining, wine tasting, and casino-hopping. Within a 20-mile drive, you can reach charming downtown Blue Ridge, Harrah's Cherokee Valley River, and the Ocoee River in Tennessee.

Newly built in 2020, the cabin is a masterful blend of mountain ambience and modern comfort. Whether you're sipping your coffee on the balcony, spending a summer afternoon on the deck, or gazing at the view through floor-to-ceiling windows in the great room, you'll feel as though you've escaped to a treehouse tucked into the leafy canopy.

The two-story interior is bright and open, so you can easily spend time with loved ones as you cook, dine, and stream movies by the gas fireplace. Enjoy a sleek kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a dining space overlooking the mountains and forest, and both an arcade game and a shuffleboard table in the loft-style bedroom upstairs. Both bedrooms have smart TVs and attached bathrooms for your comfort. Rounding out the in-home conveniences are central air conditioning, complimentary WiFi, and a washer/dryer.

Cozy Peaceful Staycation

Reese’s Retreat was absolute perfection for my husband and me. We were able to relax every day whether by soaking in the hot tub in the morning after breakfast and at night before bed. We had the best time playing shuffle board while enjoying the views. Watching the deer off of our backporch was peaceful. We visited Ellijay, Ga, Blue Ridge, Ga and Murphy, NC. We also enjoyed a beautiful hike to Toccoa Swinging Bridge. It was absolutely gorgeous and a precious place to spend our first Christmas together. If you are thinking about staying, do yourself a favor and book it.

Beautiful cabin with amazing views. The road into and out of the cabin is steep and gravel. I trailered my motorcycle up for the weekend and wasn’t comfortable getting it out on the steep gravel. Other than the road the cabin is very nice in a beautiful setting.

Beautiful mountain cabin

We enjoyed every minute of our 3 night stay in this cabin in the mountains. The views are absolutely beautiful. The drive was much easier then some other cabins weve stayed in. Overall great time!

Nice, private cabin with decent view that is a great value for the price

This cabin is comparable to ones I've stayed in for twice the price. The pros: cleanliness, quality of furniture, amenities, the large porches, large master suite with huge walk in closet. The view is decent though not panoramic... limited by trees The cons: sulfur smell in water, abysmal WiFi, small TV, had to figure out how to switch the hot tub from stand-by mode into standard mode. The game console upstairs wasn't on or working. They only provide one small bar of soap. Overall these were small issues and wouldn't stop me from staying there again.

Remote Mountain Getaway

Fully equipped to handle thriving on a remote mountain location with a great view from hot tub to entertaining games and fire pit. Easy to get to Mercier Orchard, Copperhill TN, or Blue Ridge GA. Kayaking with Rolling Thunder up Toccoa was awesome. Cabin is only 2 years and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend.

Great escape in the mountains

My son and I have spent the past 2 Christmases at Reese's Retreat. Everything gets an A+, from the initial communication to the moment we had to leave (we wanted to move in!). Brand new appliances, gorgeous hot tub, super comfy beds, and incredible views! We will definitely be back again!

Mountain escape

The cabin is spotless w/ everything you need. From fresh quality linens, to a lighter to light the fire! The view is beautiful, especially in the morning while sitting on the side deck , having coffee w/ the sunrise !! The upstairs loft was perfect for our 3 Grandboys ages 11-17. They felt like they had their own apartment. We felt as if we escaped the hustle bustle of everything! Great Wi-Fi too !!!! Loved everything about this cabin!

Beautiful, peaceful getaway

The property is private enough to provide peace and quiet 24 hours a day but near enough to surrounding towns to allow for fun excursions. The property is neat, clean, and well-equipped, and the hosts are great to work with. This wasn’t our first visit and won’t be our last.

Beautiful, we’ll appointed cabin. Beautiful scenery with Mountain View’s, trees and wildlife! We didn’t need the loft bedroom, but enjoyed the games upstairs. Perfect home away from home!

Reece's retreat was very relaxing.

A spectacular cabin.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is very private and in a great location. The sunrise and sunset were both amazing. The cabin is new and very comfortable. The hot tub was very welcomed also. We couldn't have been more pleased. Look forward to coming back.

Amazing views

We stayed at the cabin for 3 nights after a trip to Universal Studios. It was just what we needed to relax and unwind. Our son loved the shuffled board, and we probably played 25 games while we were there. The views when sitting in the rocking chairs on the deck we’re unbeatable! We would definitely stay again.
