Great location. Condition of Rental needs care.
The location was really good. A great launching pad to discover Madrid. The check-in process occurred quickly. The property rental company is stingy. We have rented in many different places and countries. It's customary for hosts to furnish essentials like soap, dishsoap, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, shampoo, toilet paper and kleenex. Also basic food items like salt, pepper, olive oil, vinegar etc. For one month, we were left with two rolls of toilet paper, no dishsoap, no kleenex, a couple of bags for garbage, nothing for recycle, a couple of dishwasher pods and laundry pods, 2 tiny dishtowels and a sponge. When we inquired they responded that what we got was it. We had to immediately go out to find a grocery store to purchase basic items. Not a warm welcome. The premises needs care and updating. Beautiful wood floors scratched, dining table old and scratched. Worst was balcony - showed great in pictures. Plastic greenery shedding, tiles peeling, porch furniture at an end, missing cushions and not clean. Found cigarette buts despite strict no smoking policy. As balcony was a main feature we wanted, it was just sad. We paid a LOT of money to have a nice comfortable place for just over a month and it did not live up to it's hype. Questions to host about garbage heat could not be turned off in radiator ignored. Prior to moving in -link to the property and pictures removed. Worried it was a scam. got runaround to get just before travelling.
