Flying Tips & Tricks How do I find my flight number?
  • You'll find a code written in your itinerary, which will be sent to you when you've finalized your booking. Just keep your eyes peeled for the IATA airline code (which consists of a couple of letters and a digit) followed by a few other numerals — your flight number.
How early can you check bags for a flight?
  • Airlines can have varying requirements for check-in and bag drop times. However, as a general rule of thumb, aim to get to the terminal about three hours prior to departure for an international flight. If you're on a domestic flight, the recommended time is two hours prior to takeoff. Our number one tip? Get there on time. International flights typically close baggage drop an hour before departure. With domestic flights, it's 45 minutes before.

Attempted to take a friend’s seat that I knew would not be on the flight due to an emergency. Was told I’d have to pay extra although the seat was already paid for.

When I checked out my luggage in Singapore, flight PR011, the padlock as well as the 2 things to hook the padlock are missing. The whole luggage is opened. Good I strapped the contents inside otherwise everything came out of the luggage. Other Airlines, when this thing happens, there is a note inside the luggage and they do things to insure the protection of the contents. Your airline did nothing. This was the first time I booked with this airline and it won’t happen anymore. There were other 2 people on the Sapphire Princess Far East cruise that had the same experience with PAL.
