Weekend break.

The hotel and its location was very good. The room was spacious. The kitchenette was well equipped, allowing us to eat in the room. The downstairs shop was very convenient. The only issues we encountered were that when checking-in the room was not ready on time, which was inconvenient due to us having to be ready to attend a show, and that the in-room safe was not working (but, to their credit, once we reported it the reception staff dealt with the issue immediately).

Try to get a room on a higher floor for quiet

I've stayed here before but this time was much noisier. I would definitely recommend trying to get a room on a higher floor if you can.

Bad communication

Arrived at check in time to be told the room wasn't ready and didn't know when it would be. This ruined our plans for our wedding anniversary. Got a txt hour after check in time and once checked in was told there was a £60 cleaning fee for having our dog with us! This wasn't stated on the website nor information page given! I did email early the morning of check in asking about our dog staying yet no response until late in the evening and still no mention of a cleaning payment! The hotel its self and the room was styled so well and in great condition. Was looking forward to a nice stay for our anniversary but felt unorganized.
