Omission in property description

When we booked our reservations, we were not told of the construction going on in the hotel. We were also not informed that the pool and the hot tub were both unavailable due to construction and the were both of the construction early in the morning was very annoying. The view was great, and the staff was very friendly.

Great getaway for just 2

Had a nice time at Sundestin, in Destin, FL. However, the AC unit is on the patio. A quiet evening enjoying a cocktail can soon be interrupted by the roar of the AC unit. Bedroom is small and there is not a space to set up a suitcase. Kitchen was great, but could use a couple of simple things like coffee filters and maybe a salt & pepper. Overall a relaxing stay but will probably look for something without an AC unit on the patio.

Pictures and description are accurate. The beach and water were really nice. Destin overall was very overcrowded - the beaches, traffic, restaurants - everything extremely crowded and that kind of took away from the vacation. Some feedback on the room. The owner should seriously consider replacing the fabric furniture and rugs (smell) with something like wicker with cushions and an outdoor rug. The mattresses could also use an update. Other than that it was a very nice room in a very crowded location.

Oh what a view!

First off the folks at Sun Destin were amazing. Helpful, considerate, and ensured your stay was great. The room was very nice. A few things needed some gentle maintenance such as the screen door doesn’t slide (common I know), the towel rack in the bathroom was loose and came undone (improvised and put it back together), the sink in the larger bathroom was clogged and needs to be snaked (I have to do this at home a lot), amongst a few other small updates needed. Additionally, there was no hairdryer for my wife which was difficult. Seems easy enough to have a cheap one on site for guests who forget one. Lastly, the common areas in the sun Destin leading to the beach were quite dirty. Understandable, given the amount of traffic but I’m fairly sure the glass doors weren’t cleaned at all during our entire stay. Aside from a few issues this is an amazing family friendly locale.

Great condo!

The condo was very clean upon arrival. Appeared to be remodeled and it was a modern appearance! 17th floor balcony view was beautiful! A/C worked great for this Texas family along with the bunk beds built into the hallway. Our kids loved it! Overall a great condo!

Very nice condo with awesome view!

This condo was just as it was advertised on VRBO. For being on the 17th floor, we expected the room to be warm and less than desirable water pressure. Neither was the case; the condo’s A/C is awesome and the water pressure in the shower and sinks are normal. The view off the balcony of the gulf is what drew me to this room. Sitting out on the balcony having coffee in the mornings or dinner in the evenings and listening to the waves was very relaxing, not to mention stress relief. The condo is located in walking distance to some restaurants, grocery stores, and a short drive from others. Overall, this property is somewhere my wife and I would definitely consider staying again. The few cons worth mentioning to this property are very easily worked around. During our stay, one of the condos above us was apparently being remodeled or repaired, so the daylight hours were filled with sounds of drills and banging on our walls almost constantly. No siestas for us on this trip until it was getting dark. 2. This unit is near an elevator, so we were constantly hearing people talking, coming, and going the entire time we were there. Nothing too terrible, but it was just distracting to us. 3. Please note that Sundestin has a company that takes care of beach amenities such as chairs and umbrellas. However, they do place a lot of furniture on the beach, so finding a place near the water to sit is challenging unless you rent from them. Also, note that you cannot bring or use your own umbrellas. While we were there, the company made several families take down their umbrellas. You must rent theirs in order to use one. This was a big deal to some families there and not so much to others. All in all, our time was definitely enjoyable and our stay was delightful. We went there to relax from a demanding work grind, and we were able to do so.
