Fun trip to Destin

We had a great time on the beach and in the ocean. Spent some time at the Harbor walk and did an escape room near by. Overall a great experience.

Great stay!

The view of the beach is just beautiful. The condo has a nice updated bathroom and kitchen. The master bedroom bed needs updating, living room rug is very dirty and needs to be removed or replaced. Overall, this is going to be a very nice place once construction is completed.

Very beautiful views, cozy kitchen area and very convenient location. They were in the middle of a remodel throughout the condo, so very dusty around the entrance door and on the balcony. Didn’t bother us much, but would’ve been nice to have a broom to sweep up, which was requested, but never showed up. Could use some

GORGEOUS!

The property was amazing the view was absolutely breathe taking. Overall we had a great time. The only thing I wish was different is I wish they had a recliner in the room instead of a stationary chair! Will definitely be booking this again

Relaxing beach getaway

Great condo right on the beach, easy access to everything as it’s right in the heart of Destin. Check-in was easy and staff was very friendly. Beach service was wonderful and 100% recommend! We had an issue with the garbage disposal and within an hour of reporting the issue someone came to fix it. We will definitely be staying at Sun Destin again through VRBO/Vacasa again. We had a wonderful vacation!

Poor customer service

I want to start with clarifying that this is not a bad rating for Sundestin Resort, overall we were very pleased with the overall resort and beach. Upon arrival the place was fairly clean and in good shape. The room we stayed in had a beautiful view of the ocean and overall was what we were expecting. The issue I have is with Vacasa and their customer service. The first night we tried to turn on the air conditioner and it did not work. We called to get someone in to look at the AC the next morning, and later that day they sent a Maintenence tech up. Unfortunately the compressor was shot and they were not able to get this repaired during our 5 day stay. I understand that mechanical failures happen, and while this was an inconvenience, things happen. However, as I noted above we never had AC for the duration of the visit. We were unable to sleep well due to the heat and this resulted in grumpy kids. Not once did we hear from Vacasa to see if they could do anything to help make our stay more comfortable. Upon returning home I reached out to Vacasa several times to discuss a possible partial refund or credit. Three different times I spoke with someone, and they promised that they would have the manager call, this never happened. They ended up crediting us $67 which I considered a slap in the face seeing as we paid $2000 for the room. If Vacasa would have made any decent attempt to make things right this review could have been completely different.

Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. Updated clean condo. First impression when you walked in was not the best the front door could use updating but inside everything was updated as shown. It did appear they had a temporary fridge in place it was rusty on the outside but clean. Elevator was fast which was nice on 18th floor. Beautiful view. Air conditioning on patio was not a real issue since you could hear it only when the fan was on. Resort lobby was updated and nice. Busy Location right near everything Walmart etc.

Nice but frustrating

The property was nice, however, two nights in a row we were locked out of our room for a total of 3 plus hours. They had to bring in off site maintenance people to replace batteries in the key reader both nights. We missed dinner reservations, we’re unable to even get clothes as we had come from the beach. We had to sit in the lobby for all of those hours in wet, swimming suits . We had no access to medication some of the people in our group needed. Not our money our rental car keys. Sundestin was very apologetic. However, when contacting who we are renting through, they said they were no issues and would not contact us back. Unfortunate, because we were ready to book it again for next year, but are afraid the same thing could possibly happen again.

Great view

Great view overlooking the beach. The pools and hot tub were great. The bar and restaurant inside the condo was awesome. Only bad thing about it was our key cards stopped working on day 2 and it took FOREVER to get someone to help us get a new set.

Listing is inaccurate

Please do not stay here. Vacasa is a TERRIBLE management company. Upon arrival, I notified them that there were no medium size pots, only 2 steak knives, and ZERO pans. Yes, zero. The stainless steel fridge in the picture was also not there. Instead, there was a rusted white refrigerator with no ice maker. Yes...rusted inside and out. It was DISGUSTING. Vacasa said they would fix it the next day. I contacted them again the next day when the items were not given to me and I had to make my kids scrambled eggs in a little saucepan. Again, they said they'd fix it and they acknowledged that my work order was in the system from the day before but had no idea why it wasn't taken care of. Day 3, still nothing. I called again and finally got someone who cared who tracked down the GM of the local Vacasa office. She was nice, said it would get fixed the next day (that's day 4 for those of you who are counting). I told her I bought 2 pans because I needed to have the ability to cook for my kids. She said Vacasa would reimburse me and also credit me some money back for the inconvenience. I followed up the next day, guess what, crickets. Sad. Unbelievably bad customer service. Additionally, the bedroom window faces the hall that is right outside a door to the outdoor hallway as well as the elevators. It is noisy day and night. And Sundestin DOES NOT enforce the no party rule. We had drunk young adults running up and down the hallway, banging on doors, yelling and cussing from 2am until 4am

Beautiful view

A few minor problems with this unit but it was also $50 a night cheaper than other units. The bed was comfortable and the balcony view out weighed the minor problems.

The bed was the worst bed mattress I ever slept on please replace your mattress it’s old No blow dry

Mattresses was old needs to be replaced!!! didn’t sleep well the whole time I was there!! replace yours mattress.. Thanks lots of wear and tear on the mattress, Will not go back because of mattress was very disappointed in the bed. Needed a door stopper for the door doors too heavy. Better pans to cook with.
