Welcome to Azalea Landing a home nestled in the heart of Brookings, Oregon. This historic beachfront community transports you to a place where time slows down and cherished memories are created.
Brookings is located at the mouth of the Chetco River, marking its position as the southernmost point on the Oregon Coast. Originally confined to only one side of the river, this town expanded across its banks to encompass Harbor, an independent community with its own unique character.
Founded in 1913 as a company town for redwood logging by the California and Oregon Lumber Company (C&O), Brookings emerged near what we once knew as "Chetco," a small settlement from the late 1890s to early 1900s. The town owes its name to John Brookings, one of C&O's owners. Interestingly enough, his brother Robert Brookings played a significant role in this venture and established Washington D.C.'s renowned institution that bears their family name.
Intriguingly, it was Robert's insistence that an overarching architectural theme be adopted for Brookings' key structures. They entrusted the accomplished California architect Bernard Maybeck with designing the buildings—a testament to their commitment towards creating a harmonious community.
Prepare yourself for a peaceful experience at Azalea Landing Beach House—where tradition meets modern comfort amidst breathtaking natural surroundings.

Family Gathering
Our stay was perfect! This home was spacious enough that we had plenty of space to not be on top of each other. The bunk room was a hit for the teenagers and 20 somethings. Everyone loved the hot tub and game room. We would definitely stay here again!

Just Amazing!
Beautiful property, all the amenities and then some, great neighborhood and neighbors and so much more! Our group of 10 stayed here this year for our annual girls trip and this was one of the best vacation houses we have stayed at so far! Very accommodating host! We ran out of toiletries and the host had them delivered out to us in less than an hour! The house was cleanly with a nice big yard and a ton of fun entertainment items on site to keep everyone entertained. You will not be disappointed with this vacation house! There was even a family of deer sleeping in the side yard when we arrived, which was beautiful and amazing. I cant say enough great things about our stay. Will stay again.

Perfect couple day get away.
The house was so open to let any sunshine in. The weather was back and forth but the garage and hot tub was perfect for the 3 teenagers who loved everything to do in the garage area. We loved every second of our stay. Christy was wonderful and on top of anything we needed.

Enjoyable with caveat
Great cozy home with plenty of space. Only had a couple of issues preventing it from being 5 stars. The home has a serious ant problem, they were everywhere from the floors to the counters and even in the beds under the sheets. The upstairs has four beds connected by stairs with a panel that was broken on one of the steps on arrival that kept on falling off whenever the kids would go up or down that caused a bit of annoyance. Home owner did let us know that they've been dealing with the ant problem for a while now and was sending someone over the following day. She did offer us an additional night free of charge, but unfortunately she messaged my phone which was dead and I did not see her message until we had already left the area. My wife had sent messages to her through the system but did not get a reply.
Overall, we'd stay there again. While the ant problem wasn't great, I wouldn't say it was completely off-putting unless you plan on actually cooking and using the counters for meal prep.

Short weekend getaway
This is a great place for friends and family. The room with the bunkbeds is perfect if you have kids. The pictures in the listing present a nice home, but it’s actually better in person. In fact, the pictures don’t do any justice for the number of thoughtful details the property owner includes for your stay. Each cupboard you open and room you walk into will surprise you with simple but very considerate amenities to make your stay comfortable.
The neighborhood is nice and a very short drive to beaches, groceries, and restaurants.
I definitely recommend this vrbo.

Clean, cozy, and close to EVERYTHING!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Brookings, in no small part due to this wonderful home. We were greeted with an adorable care package and card (the owners are wonderful people and very considerate), a beautiful and comfortable home, and an amazing view. The hot tub was a great feature. The home is located within walking distance to the beach, parks, and shopping on a very quiet and family friendly street. Home was well stocked with all necessities for us, kids, and pups. Communication from owner was fantastic. We greatly look forward to visiting Brookings again and hope to secure this wonderful rental for our future stays. It exceeded all expectations!!
