After a day in town, visiting the Biltmore, breweries, shopping or out on the trail, get comfortable and spread out in our clean, spacious home. Watch the 35-mile sunset view from one of your private decks. At night when you return from the Asheville restaurant and music scene, look out over the twinkling city lights! We’re located up a good paved road just four minutes from a Blue Ridge Parkway exit, eight minutes from the Biltmore entrance, and eight minutes straight up I-240 to the town center, we’re as convenient a mountain top as you’ll find anywhere. It will take you longer to park downtown than it does to drive there.
With 3,300 square feet we offer generous spaces for gathering with your friends or family. The driveway is flat with plenty of parking. All three mountain-facing bedrooms have King Beds, each has its own Full Bathroom, and each one has its own Deck or Stone Patio facing the sunset side. The three Kings provide full comfort for six. A full size Futon and a full size Sleeper Sofa are also in the house. For small children there are two Pack n’ Plays and a High Chair ready for them in the closet. Off the kitchen/dining side there is another large deck for gathering with a table, umbrella and chairs, Gas Grill, and Lounge Chairs. A second table and chairs are under a covered section also on the deck. Enjoy the morning sun with your coffee on the East deck.
You'll find everything you need in our fully equipped kitchen with quartz counter tops, stainless appliances, a Drip as well as a Keurig Coffee Maker, along with plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans. Outside there is a Jenn Aire propane grille and an extra tank of gas is always handy. We have 300mbs 5G free WIFI, Charter cable, Netflix, Hulu, and ESPN+, on the 55" Sony smart TV. The house has one Gas Fireplace in the dining area, and one Wood Fireplace with wood provided for a little romance or just some extra coziness in the lower family area.

If you’re in the mood for some relaxation we’re located right next door to Shoji Japanese Spa. While we’re not part of the Spa it’s easy to book a wonderful Hot Tub or a Massage. You can even walk down the hill in your bathrobe if you like.

Perfect house and location

We loved our stay at this wonderful house. The owners have literally thought of everything!!! We stayed for about 3 weeks and had everything we needed. Love the proximity to downtown. We had a wonderful time as always. We’ve rented this house on several occasions and it’s always been very clean and the views are wonderful from the back deck. It’s nice to be close to Asheville and Black Mountain but it’s a very peaceful setting up on the hill.

Sets a new standard for excellence!

Our family (6 adults and one toddler) had a wonderful time at this property. The experience of working with the host and the property itself were both awesome. The home was comfortable and well-stocked with all our needs anticipated. Having 3 king beds with baths was perfect for our 3 couples. While the road access was a bit steep and narrow, all our vehicles navigated it just fine. The views from the west-facing deck, particularly sunsets, were gorgeous. The deck was the perfect place for morning coffee and had plenty of chairs. The pinball machine was a hit with all the adults (just bring a bunch of quarters with you). The common areas had great seating and facilitated great interaction. The home had easy access to town, Biltmore, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The hosts have provided lots of material and suggestions for area activities. All 6 of us agreed that it was the best VRBO experience we had ever had. Check-in and check-out was the easiest ever. We hope to be back!

Busbee Lookout

Right after we saw the beautiful view, we noticed how clean the entire home was. We appreciated that. Located within 15 minutes or so from most Asheville locations. The last 1/10 mile is a bit steep and narrow but otherwise easy access. We had fun during our week. Suggest you bring some quarters as the pinball machine is addicting. Would definitely recommend.

Incredible, Wonderful Stay

The property was fantastic, just as advertised and as described in the many 5 star reviews. Richard and Margaret were probably the best hosts we ever had, were very responsive, polite and helpful. The location is perfect, about 15 minutes from downtown and from everywhere you'd want to go in Asheville. We would absolutely stay again, and would recommend for groups of all ages. We stayed with family, including a 1 year old and 3 year old, and the house had everything needed for kids. And what a view of the mountains.

My siblings and I stayed here. It was a marvelous home with a beautiful view. It was spacious and, a fully equipped kitchen for those who want to cook. It was close to every thing. The host did a fantastic job leaving notes about the house, restaurants, etc. I would have liked to stay longer and hope to stay there again.

Perfect home!

We absolutely loved this home. We had 3 couples, long time friends who like to take a yearly trip together. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything needed! I have never stayed in a property so fully equipped! The views from the deck were so beautiful and we enjoyed our happy hour sunsets! The table was big and just right for both dining and playing games. The beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed Asheville city, the Biltmore and hiking, all a short drive from the house. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and I thank them for making our stay so wonderful.

Perfect accommodations

This was the perfect place for our family get together of 3 couples. 3 bedrooms with king size beds that were super comfortable and a private bath for each couple. Very clean and well appointed kitchen and baths. Incredible views and location was close to Asheville without sacrificing the feel of the beautiful mountains. We were able to Uber to Asheville with no problem. As a bonus, we really enjoyed the pinball machine reminding us of our college days! A Cozy Stay with the most Gorgeous View

Our family loved staying in this lovely home. The hosts were such gracious communicators, and the home was clean, organized, and just so cozy! Our three young children immediately felt at home, and as parents we had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms, etc. I would love to stay in this home again for a longer stay, and have already recommended it to family members. Second stay - still excellent!

It is so pleasant to spend Christmas here with my family! The home is sweetly decorated for Christmas and so welcoming. The home itself is a big plus, as is the scenery. I’m not sure how many pictures we took of sunrises and sunsets. We did more cooking and eating in this time, made easy by the well-supplied kitchen and dining room. Another big plus is the privacy. I love the location - close to all we need but still we feel like we are on a mountain-top alone!

A Respite in the Mountains

This is our sixth (or seventh!) time on Busbee Mountain in Asheville, and every time it’s a GIFT. The owners have provided EVERYTHING you could possibly need to enjoy a welcome getaway. Spacious, private (every bedroom has its own private porch), and inviting in every way. The views are stunning, whether looking out over the Blue Ridge Parkway toward Asheville, or into a pleasant area where the wild turkeys amble through. There’s not a better place to be away from it all AND only three minutes from downtown. We’ve already signed on for our seventh (or eighth?!) visit. Thank you, Rich and Peggy, for your hospitality!

Beautiful home

This is the place if you're looking for a beautiful view with all the comforts of home. Exceptionally clean and stocked with everything you'll need. This home was the perfect location .... We enjoyed shopping in downtown Asheville-- Biltmore Village, Henderson Street and antique stores adding an evening visit to the Biltmore Estate for the Candlelight Christmas tour.
