The staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean. Unfortunately, it was a little too noisy. I’m a light sleeper so I was awakened by the traffic, including train horns throughout the night and then sounds from kitchen in early morning.

A small Arizona town with a rich and well-preserved gold mining and ranching heritage, Wickenburg is a treasure trove of attractions for history buffs. As the one-time "Dude Ranch Capital of the World," Wickenburg also appeals to visitors who enjoy outdoor recreation amid a desert landscape reminiscent of the Wild West. Book one of the Wickenburg hotels for your Arizona vacation and you'll experience an escape from the big city, while still being within easy reach of Phoenix.
Getting to hotels in Wickenburg from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport—the closest major airport at approximately 70 miles away—is quite straightforward. You can arrange services in advance from one of numerous private shuttle and shared-van companies operating in the region or reserve a vehicle from the airport's rental car center. Upon arrival, head outside the terminal and take a free shuttle to the center. Or consider seeing the sights of the big city and staying at one of the best hotels in Phoenix before continuing on.
Once you’ve made it to Wickenburg, get a great overview of the town’s historical landmarks from the downloadable walking tour map offered by the local chamber of commerce. You'll discover such remarkable buildings as the circa-1895 Santa Fe Railroad Depot building; several turn-of-the-century houses, inns, and saloons; a general store; and a brick post office. Also see the "Jail Tree," which was used in the late 19th century for chaining up prisoners when the jail was full. For more Wild West history, visit the Vulture City ghost town, a collection of crumbling stone and wood buildings that were once the offices and quarters of the most productive gold mine in Arizona history. A notable modern institution in Wickenburg is the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts. Check its schedule while you're browsing for flights, hotels, and rental cars in Wickenburg.
