An Excellent Choice for Biking and Birding
The house was as described and pictured on the VRBO site. The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable, and the linens were of good quality. Towels were ample and substantial. We spent five nights at the house and cooked every meal there. There was nothing we needed in the kitchen that was not provided, including cooking oil, paper towels, and basic spices. We enjoyed streaming programs on the large smart TV in the basement in the evening. The furniture was clean and comfortable. The house was located in a quiet neighborhood. We could not hear or see the houses on either side of us. There is some “traffic white noise” from Rt. 6 which we could hear if the windows were open. It did not bother us at all. It the windows were closed, there were no outside noises. There is a very private front and back yard.
On this trip we planned to bike and bird. The house was perfectly located for those purposes. There are trails near the house by which you can access the CCRT without moving the car. The Audubon Nature Preserve is less than 5 minutes by car. The Province Lands bike trail was about a 25-minute drive. Various National Seashore beaches and sites are close by.
The folks at Del Mar were very responsive to questions and requests. They have a great software system that pushes out information regarding check in, checkout, and contact information.
I would definitely recommend this property to friends and would stay there again.
