Cavendish Hotel
"A lovely big hotel on the seafront. It did need some painting and cleaning in some places regarding the carpets and walls. The wind kept blowing a loose hatch opening in my bathroom ceiling so much so, the wood panel that was resting over the opening rattled noisily and dislodged in the night. This could easily be fixed in place to avoid this happening. My shower cubicle was tiny so anyone bigger than a size 10 would find it difficult to manoeuvre but my daughter had a huge bathroom and over bath shower. At first, we were given 2 tiny box like single rooms with no windows that were very hot, stuffy and claustrophobic but when I objected, the lovely receptionist upgraded us to 2 huge double rooms with no problem. I was very pleased and grateful so apart from my observation points above we had a lovely 3 night stay in a very comfortable and fairly clean room and bathroom. I visit Eastbourne regularly to look after my brother and have stayed in many of the seafront hotels and I would say, this is the nicest one so far."
