The View Hotel
"Had a wonderful stay for 3 nights .everything was great. Had to change room as my friend couldn’t get in or out of bath to use the overhead shower. They changed our room the following day to a beautiful large room with 2 balconies and double walk in showers ."

The Grand Hotel Eastbourne
"Breakfast excellent. Waited over 20 minutes for waiter to take our orders for evening meal in Garden Room. Never came! Left hotel and ate elsewhere."

The Relais Cooden Beach
"We go there a lot and have been doing for years. Staff generally great. Nice to be on the beach, especially in the summer. Despite being refurbished a couple of years ago, the upper corridors look a bit grubby and in need of a few fresh coats of paint. Upstairs carpets also look grubby. And we really ..."

Best Western York House Hotel
"NO PARKING. There is only street parking if you can find it. Hotels.com should not say this hotel has parking. They give you a permit so you don’t have to pay, but there is no dedicated lot. Room 184 is wonderful, breakfast is very good, location is good."

The Burlington Hotel
"This is a big hotel opposite the pier in Eastbourne. Is arguably the best positioned hotel in the whole of the town. I had a lovely big room - on an upper floor corner - with fab views. Majestic Hotel Eastbourne by Belvilla
"Absolutely abysmal, hotel was dirty, tired, stains on carpets broken appliances shower door fallen off. Booked 2 nights and stayed for the first night only because it was too late to find somewhere else, trying to get a refund for the second night which is impossible. AVOID should not be run as a ..."

"Nice building, I would have preferred a sea view but the view out the back is decent. There is a draft when the window is opened that is quite loud under the door. The staff were eager to help where possible"

The Burlington Hotel
"This is a big hotel opposite the pier in Eastbourne. Is arguably the best positioned hotel in the whole of the town. I had a lovely big room - on an upper floor corner - with fab views. Room was big, bed was comfy, coffee machine, water, nice bathroom, shower etc. In terms of quality, it’s not the Four Seasons, but for the price it’s great value. It was five times cheaper than the Grand Hotel and I’d say much better value. The staff tried their hearts out and gave excellent service. Back in the day, this would have been a jewel of a hotel. Now, with limited money it’s faded. If you look for imperfection, you find it. But that misses the point. There’s an opportunity for all of us to stay at hotels like The Burlington and help it survive and prosper. I’d stay again. And that’s always my test."
