Had a pleasant stay in York House hotel they have a nice Veranda. We can sit in the Sun or the shade and have a pleasant drink looking at the beach. parking is reasonable as they have permits and there is also free on street parking just around the corner.

Best Western Eastbourne

We stayed 2 nights. Good Location, we had a sea view which was nice, however, the net curtain was ripped. The room was clean and we had a kitchen, which is fully equipped. It is a 3 star, it's average, but if you don't want all the frills it's fine. Breakfast choice is minimal, fruit is just apples only. Coffee served, but i wanted a latte, was told Coffee machine is broken. This hotel needs updating. On a plus side, the bed was comfortable.

Helpful, friendly staff. Very small, run down rooms that haven’t been thoroughly cleaned in years. Beds are old and too soft. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, probably because the vent was filled with dirt and dust. Normally, I do pushups and stretches on the floor every morning but I would not do that here. On the plus side, it is literally across the street from the beach so the location is great. But I would not stay again because of the lack of cleanliness.

Friendly, helpful staff

Great location right on the seafront with the pier in easy reach, a handy bus stop and roadside parking outside. It's an easy level walk to the town centre. The best thing about this hotel was the staff, everyone I came across was friendly, welcoming and helpful, one lady even spoke in Spanish to some guests. Certain things weren't provided automatically, like water in the room, but all I had to do was ask and a big jug of iced water was quickly fetched with a smile. I slept really well which I don't always in hotels - my room faced away from the seafront road which meant it was quiet. The bed was comfortable, the curtains had blackout linings, the window opened easily and there was an effective electric fan. Breakfast was buffet style, not the widest choice but tasty and cooked well and again, when I asked for a fruit salad, a good one arrived quickly. The service at breakfast always came with a smile. The hotel looks a little tired in places such as some carpets, on the stairs, corridors and in the lift. My room wasn't pristinely clean on arrival, I did have to ask for a dusty corner to be cleaned. All in all a pleasant stay due to the staff's friendliness and the good night's sleep.

Room was dirty, delapidated, and very tired. There was a faded but obvious blood stain on a bedsheet, broken tiles and mould in the bathroom, broken aircon. Lovely view but the area felt sketchy at night. Big room, though. Fine for a night, but would be awful for a longer stay

Hotel good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean. Room small but adequate. Bed comfortable but pillows hard and flat. Breakfast average. No fruit and porridge was tasteless made with water. Hot food good choice.
