First when we called to confirm our reservation it could not be found. When going direct online with the hotel it was found right away. Arrived to check in and told $39 extra for parking for our no extra charges Expedia price. Walked into our room to find a crumb covered couch. The couch was saggy and very worn also. The chair was stained in multiple spots. One of the beds had large spots on the top and down the side. The tile in front of the microwave had black spots. The bathtub had drips of something down the side. Called down to the desk who gave us the choice of sending up house cleaning or change rooms. They brought us up a key for a new room and checked the room that was dirty. Comment was that "they sure missed cleaning this one" and gave us a couple of extra punch cards for drinks. Too bad we don't drink and were not going to be there during that time anyway as we had to be at the airport. Second room was better or so we thought at first. When closing the curtains later that night found spatters of something all over the inner curtain. In the bathroom the tub faucet was turned facing out towards the floor, if the water had been turned on it would have gone all over the floor. Also it was filthy dirty on the underside that was showing. The soap holder near the shower head had been broken and was attempted to be covered with caulking to cover the broken edge. The breakfast was very good the next morning with good choices and helpful staff. I did take photos.

Embassy Suites by Hilton – Rosemont, River Road I chose this hotel because I’ve stayed at several Embassy Suites locations before (including Downers Grove/Lombard and Puerto Rico), and they’ve always been clean and top-tier. Unfortunately, this location was the complete opposite and extremely disappointing. I checked in on November 23, 2025 after a long day of moving, since I had just moved out of my apartment and wanted a comfortable place to rest for my birthday on November 24th. At first, because I was exhausted and it was dark, I didn’t notice everything right away. But when I returned to the room the next day and turned on the heat, I heard a strange noise. When I looked above the built-in cabinet where extra blankets and linens were stored, I saw visible black mold and heavy water damage along the wall and ceiling area. On top of that, the surface of the cabinet looked like something had leaked or rotted onto it — dark, stained, and unsanitary. This alone made the room unsafe and extremely uncomfortable. To make matters worse, when I pulled back the sheets on the bed, there was a sticky jelly-like substance on the bedding. I immediately called the front desk and spoke to a staff member named Martin, who refused to come up himself and said he would send housekeeping. No one ever came. I waited. No call back. No follow-up. Nothing! The room was dirty, outdated, and potentially unsafe.I do have video evidence of the condition of the room, including the mold and th

The room was clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The sofa sleeper mattress was very poor quality and uncomfortable. The housekeeper was very quick to bring blankets and pads to make it more comfortable. She even offered to make the bed for us to make it more comfortable to skepticism on.
