Book a hotel near Straw Corner Shops, Stowe Village Historic District

"I cannot say enough good things about AWOL Stowe! I was visiting Stowe (and Vermont) for the first time for a short birthday trip. I stayed in the "1 King Bed Cabin" and it was SO dreamy - a little individual hotel room that was so cozy. It was nice to not share walls with neighbors, while also still feeling safe as there is plenty of people around. The staff also left a wonderful little carepackage in my room with birthday wishes. And the lobby of the hotel was exceptionally cozy and aesthetic. Check-in and out was also very easy. The *only* downside I would say to my stay is that the resort is pet friendly, so there were quite a few pet hairs on my sheets, but it was nothing a lint brush didn't fix (and I am confident the staff would have many the change in sheets had I requested it). Still, 5 out of 5 stars, and I would certainly return to AWOL Stowe and recommend it to friends in the future! "

"Fabulous, I booked this stay in Stowe, VT to propose to my girlfriend. All went well and prior to the booking I reached out to owner and asked for flowers to be there upon arrival. The owner went out their way and made sure to have a beautiful bouquet of flowers when I arrived. The wife loved them and I definitely earned brownie points for that. Additionally, yes the road is noisy but that’s expected when booking a place right off the main road and so close downtown. The owner supplies ear plugs, a fan, and a sound machine, which made a big difference. It was nice to see they put real thought into helping guests with the noise. I loved the stay here at the Annex and I would 100% book again. Being close to downtown is such a win."

"The best place to stay!! We stayed in the Mill house and let me just say it was perfect. The rooms were spacious and felt cozy. The staff were so helpful. The room was always cleaned and the staff added fresh towels daily. They have so many amenities. Honestly, one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I have zero complaints. Book this hotel! "

"Adorable accommodations. Clean and comfortable room. I do wish we could bring our own food/beverages to the main room in the lodge. Since it was the room with the fireplace, games, etc., it was really the only common space. I realize they sold food and beverages. Sometimes you don't want to spend $$$ just to play Pictionary in front of the fire. Other than that, it was a perfect stay and I would absolutely book again. "
