Family of 5 Getaway Weekend
I live in NWA and was looking for a nice weekend away with my family. This cabin was perfect, exactly what I wanted and everyone enjoyed the reset.
Upon arrival I was greeted to a hello sign and info on the town. We actually ate out the first night. Local Mexican place. Good food and even better prices. The local grocery store has everything you need as well as a family dollar all just 10 mins from the cabin.
The kitchen had all the necessities and the silverware is real silver! Thought that was a fun touch. The water had that well smell but it’s not bad and it’s filtered so we cooked with it however I brought a gallon for our coffee and drinking. The kitchen light switch is under the stairs.
Beds were comfy and seating was good, perfect for my family of 5. The stairs are steep, my youngest is 3 but he’s used to stairs at home. If you have a tiny one keep that in mind. Roku TV and games available. My kids liked dice the best.
The kids loved playing outside there is even a hammock to relax in. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch while the kids kicked around a soccer ball we brought from home. We had the boys collect sticks for the fire pit which they loved doing then after dinner built a fire and sat around roasting marshmallows listening to Christmas music. The pond was pretty and looks like you could fish, will have to try next time.
The Wi-Fi is great and just reaches the fire pit. No cell service but we could iMessage family if needed.
