I did NOT like the fact that I booked four rooms ahead of time then when we got there at 6:45 they were NOT available

The staff was very friendly. Although the room and area in which the hotel is located is in a terrible neighborhood. We felt so unsafe we left.

When I arrived I was told all rooms were taken. My reservation resulted in a 2nd floor room. The walls, door stair rails were all dirty. Apparently, no one cleans anything. The towels had dark spots on them as if a permanent stain, or, a complete lack of proper cleaning. I was glad to check out and NEVER RETURN!

Arrived a bit late. Check in was okay but then things went downhill. We had 2 different rooms - one for my wife and daughter and one for me. First room-smoking even though I reserved non-smoking (apparently putting a deodorizer in the AC vent was supposed to be adequate) and top of toilet off with no water. Told the front desk-was fixed but maintenance man cursed and said "It's my day off. Why can't they fix it themselves" to my wife. He went upstairs and fixed it quickly but nearly knocked my wife down leaving. There was a horrible stench in the stairway - either bum piss or someone threw fish in the garbage and it had been sitting there for several day. Then went to my room - bed had not been made and there were no clean towels - just the dirty ones from the last visitor. After the last interaction, I just decided to forget it and deal with my room as it was and not take a shower. As I've slept on filthy cots in Iraq I could deal with my room as it was. On the plus side, it was quiet and thankfully my daughter was able to get a good night sleep as she was not feeling well (and the smell of the room sent her over the edge and she vomited in the sink since the toilet was broken) and there was free coffee in the morning. I am so done with Motel 6 - I will never risk putting my wife and daughter into this sort of situation again. You get what you pay for.
