What you don't know could hurt you!

Pros: The staff! Excellent!
Cons: All that was mentioned in the top paragraph.
Location: Location would have been decent if not for the parking and homeless problem. Many things to do nearby.
When we got there we found nowhere to park. It seems that they have a valet service who parks your car in nearby lots...cost...$45.00 per day! $315.00 extra before we even started. Then dinner there we are automatically charges 18% gratuity regardless of service...plus 7.? tax. plus $ 3.50 delivery if going to your room. that is before they expect a tip! Homeless people sleeping in the entrance way. Noisy..due to kids screeming and slamming and banging on doors. The staff was very good...the rest a nightmare!

The room was a bit tight with lots of furniture and the hot water never got hot enough to take a bath. We also told the maintenance man we smelled something like burnt wires and he never came back like he stated.

Great hotel

Definetly a great value for your money. The location is perfect , and staff was very friendly. The only cons are that overnight parking is expensive at $45 a night and we did have to call twice to get our room serviced. but other then that the hotel stay was great.

Amazing hotel

The room was beyond what I expected, the valet staff went above and beyond. I'm staying here every time I need to when in San Diego.

Great Location, Historic Building

Pros: The friendliness of the staff and every staff member that I have spoken to was so helpful and cheerful.
Cons: It should be improved in communication that some rooms are "inside" rooms or could not have a view other than directly at another room.
Location: House of Blues is right next door!
Next to House of Blues, smack dab in the middle of downtown. Close to restaurants, pubs and brews. You are welcomed by the highly enthusiastic staff and the decor of the lobby is beautiful and intriguing. It is amazing how they have restored and redecorated the lobby to the glory that it is. The halls and rooms have also been redecorated, I have to remind myself that this is San Diego! The building reminds me of Manhattan style. As do the rooms, small yet efficient.

Nice hotel in Gaslamp area

Pros: The setting was comfortable and the staff was cheerful and friendly. It was helpful to have a refrigerator and microwave for the kids.
Cons: It would be nice if the rooms were a little larger but they were fine.
Location: We went to Mission Bay, La Jolla, and Ocean Beach as well as restaurants & bars in the Gaslamp area.
The hotel lobby was beautiful & had many choices for food, drinks, and relaxing spaces to sit & be comfortable. The staff was very courteous and helpful! The rooms were nice. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the Gaslamp area of town.

Surprised this was a Courtyard

Pros: Facility and staff were excellent.
Cons: The fridge in my room rattled and the shower faucet needed some tightening.
Location: It's the Gaslamp. Hopefully you don't need more explanation than that.
This was the nicest Courtyard I've ever stayed in. Housed in a beautiful historic building, the facilities themselves are up to date to meet the needs of frequent travelers. The professionalism and courtesy of the staff would have easily fit in at a high end hotel.

We should have been told about the remodeling

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Well, the pictures online of the beautiful hotel and restaurant was the reason I chose this site to celebrate my husbands birthday. However, we were never informed of the fact that the hotel was being remodeled and that we would not have access to anyting but our room. Even the lobby was blocked off. It wasn't the weekend I had envisioned for the first time we have been able to get away in 4 years.
