We recently spent time at Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres, and overall, it was a beautiful, relaxing trip. The resort grounds are stunning and very well maintained, with a layout that’s easy to navigate. You’re never too far from a pool, bar, or restaurant, and it all just makes sense. Resort Grounds & Pools The landscaping is lush and tropical, and the beach area is a highlight—with plenty of tiki huts that provide a nice ocean view and lots of shade. There are several pools, including an infinity pool by the X-Lounge, and they all had ample loungers, umbrellas, and towel access. You could easily find a spot that felt quiet and private or stay near the action with entertainment and music. Kenneth, one of the pool attendants, was always around just before our drinks were empty—he made sure we stayed hydrated and happy. Activities & Entertainment There was never a shortage of things to do. From beach and pool volleyball to air rifle shooting, tennis, pickleball, kayaking, paddleboarding, and even water Zumba and spin classes, the options kept us moving. At night, the entertainment ranged from impressive circus acts to tribute shows (Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Bob Marley), plus silent discos for those into that. We also did the hydrotherapy circuit at the spa, which was a perfect way to end the day—especially the scalp massage overlooking the resort. Top tier experience , quality food, diverse options. Beautiful beach, hotel layout. Only issues we found were entertainment is still developing compared to other properties. We didn’t like the steamer in the room, there was no way to hang our clothes to steam them. Otherwise everything was perfect.

I have a very mixed feelings about this hotel . Let’s start with good stuff : Definitely the people who works there. Beach attendants, bartenders, restaurants waitresses, excellence club people - all working really hard , genuinely really nice , welcomed you with an open heart and trying to make your stay positive and memorable. The food : all the places we have dined are really delicious with good quality food , except The Grill steakhouse (not sure what happened there the chief who had a bad day or can’t cook in general :) The beach : a heaven on Earth , can’t even add anything more Also we went to the spa and enjoyed our almost 3 hours treatment greatly !! Now about the not so great experience: First we had a problem with checking in to our originally booked and fully paid room .

What a beautiful hotel to stay in. Despite it being only open for one month, almost every single thing was perfect. Exclusivity needs to train its staff heavily, and not just in this new one, but in all of them, I'll start by talking about the lack of attention to the information in the system, When you check in, you're asked if you have any allergies, but even if you make it clear that you don't, in all of the restaurants they ask you this several times. It's really tiring. People work like robots, and sometimes they ask you the same question two, three, and one day four times at the same lunch. There are waiters who don't let you eat, asking questions about the food. There was a waiter at the Asian restaurant who I had to ask to let me eat in peace, because he asked me 8 times if the food was good, Another outrage was charging for a transfer because I booked through Expedia. If you do it through their website, the transfer is free. Now the most intriguing thing is that if you say you're going to leave a bad review, they buy you a free day on your next stay. This has happened to me before with them, but when I went to use They didn't accept it at the Montego Bay hotel and they never gave me back the money I paid, this time the general manager came to talk to me about these problems, and I said, I won't accept your courtesy, I'll show the next guests what they'll find here

This property was hard to find something wrong .Rooms were clean and spacious ,excellent dining options and the staff was amazing . I would come back in a heart beat. It was easy to navigate around the resort . The availability of seating under the umbrellas were awesome . Planning ro be back next year .

Great bar service. Claudia at the front desk was very helpful and kind. Lucia, Pedro, Francisco, and the entire group at the bar provided excelent customer service.

Excellence coral exceeded our expectations!! The decor, ambiance, dining choices and service is top notch. We were pampered by the courteous staff, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Kuddos to Betsy and Vargas for being incredibly attentive, their drink recommendations were spot on. The Excellence team has hit a home run with their new property. Looking forward to our next holiday.
