This place spoils you rotten! Water and sodas are free! Our butler provided some fruit and juices as a gift. There is chocolate and chips in each room as a gift. The grounds are kept beautiful and the staff are all very friendly and attentive.

The property is Excellent & the staff seems to be very accommodating to all light skin guest. I booked an ocean view & was "upgraded" to an ocean front with no balcony & essentially no side view due to the trees that over shadow the adult pool & hot tub. The front desk agent told me that he could offer the breakfast package & the charges accrued would just be canceled out when we checked out. That did not happen. Also, Tacos & Tequilas staff overlooked us to service the next guest that was seated after us. I think the property is immaculate but the service towards dark guest can be a discriminatory.

We really wanted to like this hotel. However our first night there our TV wouldn't work, the following day they fixed it but someone else's room and name appeared on the screen which to me is a violation of the person - in room 350 - privacy. If you want a resort with beach access do not choose this resort. There is no beach access. The portion of beach that you may use is not clean and is not inviting or private at all. If you are looking for a resort where you can relax by the pool - do not choose this resort. The photos of the infinity pool are strategically taken. So you believe it to be an actual infinity pool. Rather it is a kiddee sized pool adjacent to the kids pool. During our stay there were so many people in the pool we didn't want to sit in it. Additionally, the building blocks the sun anytime after noon so that you're only choice if you want to lay in the sun and relax is to sit amongst the kids/families by the kiddee pool- which is also very small for the size of this resort. The rooms were clean and the resort was staffed with lovely people but it is not a relaxing beach resort. As I said we wanted to like the resort and the folks who work there are kind and helpful. But for the price- they should be more transparent about their beach and pool areas.

Wonderful stay. Asked Lenna at front desk for a different room than the one assigned a check in, and was quickly given another, and then an upgrade. Property is lovely, well spread out so feels much more private than one would expect. Good choice of restaurants and bars too.

Staying at a 5 star hotel I expect certain things. Shower head was busted spraying water all over the ceiling. Blackout shade was missing from one of our windows. Popcorn crumbs outside our door for the 4 days we were there that were never vacuumed. (Not our crumbs). Hotel was quick to address but annoying nonetheless. Service at the pool was so slow. Never got the food I ordered. Took 45 minutes to get the coffee I ordered at breakfast. Food and drink insanely expensive. $25 for a pina colada?? Staff was very friendly so I feel bad complaining but not what I expected from top hotel. Location is amazing! Would I go back? Probably not, may check out LaConcha.

Facilities and the property itself were absolutely beautiful with plenty of dining options. Rooms were nice but nothing special, the bathroom stood out as it was spacious and had full tub, large shower and enclosed room for the toilet. the rooms were cleaned twice daily which was nice and there was complimentary coffee in the lobby and by breakfast bar. The spa was expensive, but the treatment menu was unique and the facilities were beautiful. The area was close to old San Juan by uber. overall, the beauty of the hotel and the old luxury vibe is what stood out the most.

If not for Veronica at the front desk, we would have rated our stay much lower. We had issues from the moment we checked in to housekeeping problems to a dropped reservation and an overcharge at one of the restaurants.. Veronica addressed each issue with a smile finding solutions which is so rare these days.

I reserved multiple rooms, but the rooms have different issues, such as dusty , smell, temperature can not be controled, house keeper is forgetable and the front desk has no action when we report some of this issues. No sand beach though this hotel is on the beach. It does not deserveing such high price rate.
