This hotel desperately needs to hire more staff. Everyone who works there is great, but there are always long lines at the front desk and only one or two people working. Otherwise it's clean, convenient, a little run-down for the prices, and kind of like being on a cruise ship.

Beautiful views but very poor customer service!!!

This hotel is in a great location! Beautiful views from our balcony!!! We arrived on a Thu afternoon & checked out on Sun morning, there was no air conditioning the entire stay. We were told repeatedly that it was being fixed but never was. It was 81° in our room & finally got a fan on Saturday night. Because I prepaid through Hotels.com they only offered to refund my resort fees & one tab I had at the bar, a total of $185! I paid over $2000 to stay there & a measly $185 was the only thing credited! Our stay was during the big festival week so there were no options to move to another hotel either. It was very disappointing to start vacation that way!!!

Ac didn't work in the room. They just gave the option to get a refund if u didn't wanna stay after they tell u that at check in. Other than that restaurant downstairs is good breakfast is regular

We had a nice stay at Caribe Hilton; the amenities are very nice and the location is less than an hour walk to Old San Juan, which was great because parking in Old San Juan is really limited. The beds were very nice, we enjoyed our balcony with ocean view and loved listening to the waves. The staff was lovely but we felt it was a little overpriced for the value. We did really enjoy a small cafe/ice cream shop located off the lobby. Very good breakfast sandwiches and cappuccinos… and ice cream, of course. The staff there were extremely pleasant and attentive. Having a Starbucks in the hotel was another nice perk. There aren’t many walkable restaurants outside of the hotel unless you’re headed in to Old San Juan or San Juan so keep that in mind.

The air conditioner went out for two days in the entire hotel before we left and the hotel refused to answer any guest calls or request for refunds. After our stay, I contacted Hilton directly and got the same run around and transfers that they just hung up. This is of course, in addition to the fact that the property is falling apart and the beach is covered in garbage

What a disappointment. No AC in the guest rooms! While they did comp our breakfast & bar tab that did not make up for an unpleasant night in a very hot room. Waited in line for a full 40 min to check in! Only 2 people consistently working at the desk and the line was very long. Additionally, service was spotty. Witnessed staff eating from the breakfast buffet (made to order waffles) while guests (me and another person) waited for their food to be made before we were served. Completely unprofessional. Lobby restrooms dirty & had a broken sink. We did have a terrific bellman (ray) who was incredibly helpful with our bags & suggestions about the local area. Overall a disappointing experience for this type of property. Lovely pool and lobby areas but service needs serious oversight.

i was checked in on time but given a room that wasn’t what i paid for so after 3.5hrs of WAITING to be changed to actual room and carrying my bags over because bellmen was very very busy, get to my room and there was FECAL MATTER still on the toilet bowl and seat VERY disgusting when you haven’t even used the bathroom at all! I had my breakfast on the table in the room a BIRD FLEW IN in and ate my bread from the patio went to wash my hands n there it was taking a piece to go, had the patio opened because There WAS NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THE ROOM i couldn’t even sleep at night it was soo hot people had their doors open to catch a breeze then get ready to go downstairs AND THE ELEVATOR WAS OUT FOR TWO DAYS! Had to take stairs down from 9th floor!! They said they have refreshments for inconveniences and when i went to go get some and I was told it was for a private event n turned away only to be told later that i was misinformed by the staff there and now the line is a mile long! for the money that was paid to have a enjoyable stay it was crazy experience

Overall, we did enjoy our stay here! The amount of dinning options and varieties were important. Also the amount of pools & a private beach option as well was definitely a plus. Most staff was accommodating and we had a nice experience with. There were a few cons during our stay: 1) The AC was not working. When we initially told them about our room AC not working, we were told it was a few rooms and they were working on it. The next time we asked, we were told the problem was solved & that due to “the pressure” it’s taking longer for some rooms to become cold again. The final time I asked for an update, we were told EVERY room was still out. Despite the back and forth answers and the discomfort of sleeping with no AC, the front desk was accommodating with providing a form of compensation and we got a fan on our last night delivered to our room. The next con was that the hot tubs were small for the amount of guests that stay at the hotel. There were 2 and they were absolutely packed and literally the water was over flowing. Also, the jets did not work. The final con was that we ordered an Uber to take us to the airport. The driver pulled up to the main lobby as you would expect, put our luggage in the trunk and then the host stand started yelling at him in Spanish. Then the driver told us we had to get out of the car and walk to a separate pick up area down a driveway and on the side of the building or the staff would write him up. Shame on the staff member for that response.
