Place looks tiny from the outside but inside is spacious with 2 courtyards. Beautiful room with great AC. Included towels and beach towels. Bed was soft. Microwave in common area. Mini fridge in room. Shower pressure was just ok, but that isn’t a deal breaker. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you are going to be coming in early for a cruise, as they will store your luggage and it’s really close to port. Very clean!

Our stay at Hugo's was perfect in every way! They were so accommodating for us. The building was perfectly situated by the plaza where there was nighttime dancing and music. Walkable all over Old San Juan. Inside things were very clean, quiet and unique. Unique. Glad I didn't go with just another chain hotel. And then the bed... Seriously I was tempted to find the name brand of it. It was so incredibly comfortable!! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

In the heart of old San Juan. Really clean, walkable distance to restaurants, bars, shops, grocery, & parking lots if needed. Highly recommend, especially for the price.

This was our second stay here and we loved it just as much as the first! The property is beautiful, the location is fantastic, and everything in Old San Juan is easily walkable. They are such a great host—very communicative and welcoming. The A/C kept the rooms perfectly cool, everything was super clean, and there’s even a parking garage nearby if you have a rental. Such a great spot—can’t wait to come back again!

Parking is on the street which is crowded. Challenging for someone with a car. Management is very nice and helpful. We stayed in the room at the top floor which is basically rooftop and there is NO elevator. The stairs are steep and narrow. So, I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with luggage.The room was clean and comfortable.

It was a really great location. The room did not have a TV for those that would prefer one. No info on the wifi available in the room. The room was clean but the towels smelled like they weren't cleaned, could be a washing machine issue. The best parking was Doña Fela parking down the street (about a 4 minute walk). Other than that it was a great stay. I would stay there again and i would recommend it as well.

Our room was lovely, although there were no windows. We asked for a late check out and for a few dollars we were told to take our time and they would notify housekeeping. They also gave us a place to store our luggage while we toured the city before boarding our ship (we were there a day early for our cruse).

The place has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, it could use better maintenance and decor for a more aesthetically pleasing look. The rooms were clean but small. Photos are a bit deceiving. Parking is not easy. There are parking lots nearby thou for 10-15 night. Really close to everything.

The property is amazing and so accommodating. The host was truly a blessing with the recommendations on what to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner !. Truly appreciate the staff for the cleanliness, the beauty with the plants and just overall culture. Would definitely come back and recommend everyone to come back. Everything was nearby and to be honest you really didn’t need a car cause you have everything within walking distance. Once again thank you for the wonderful and pleasant experience and stay 😊

Hugo’s is the cutest little spot located near lots of local spots and right across from the plaza. We had a great stay here. It’s a great location, clean, and quiet. Be warned that parking is an issue if you have a car (uber friendly) and the walls are very thin. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was due to communication about check in. No email was sent so I had a hard time finding it but luckily ran into another guest who directed me to where to check in.

The pros: conveniently located in the heart of old san juan within walking distance to some very good restaurants and a great hangout spot we visted every night we were there called moreno. We early and was able to have our room at 1:30 which was nice. The cons: very small rooms the tv did not work the whole stay we could hear the neighbors thruout the whole night early morning hours especially, i felt like we were a burden when we asked questions and it was me and my husbands first time coming to puerto rico so we kind of wanted to know about the area and what there was to do the lady wasnt helpful in that department and ut seemed like we were a bother to her we didnt feel welcome and nothing was explained as i thought that since it was a small hotel we would get a tour of what we were getting into when we arrived it wasnt nothing like that we walked in told our room was on the second floor given a code and told to scan a qr code for activities in the area which were slim to none and wasnt helpful so we decided to start asking locals what to do and how to get places we found out more from them than the place we were staying when i booked this room i booked it on reviews and how helpful the staff was and there is no staff there is no front desk and no they arent helpful at all..the only good thing i can say is we felt safe the room was always clean and the area had a ton of bars and restaurants and lots of shopping but dont expect to be catered to.
