Beautiful beach location but very uncomfortable sleep

The Best part of this stay was definitely the location just steps from the beach. The property is surrounded by lush green vegetation - just a wonderful tropical retreat. There are several things that would keep us from coming back. First of all is that the TV, internet, and no electronics that needed Wifi or direct TV worked consistently enough to watch even an ad. Also, the ventilation in the downstairs basement is non-existent. The pool cleaners put bleach in the indoor pool on Thursday evening and the Lower level bedrooms are non-sleepable due to the fumes even with all the doors closed. The beds should all be replaced, they were either way to soft and saggy or way too lumpy. Every night, I worried about where we would sleep due to all poor bed mattresses. The upstairs "bedroom" has no privacy as there are no doors between the bedroom and the living room except for a curtain. Also, the bedroom is a passthrough access to the lower level. We were checking this place out for future family vacays, but unfortunately we won't be back. If these things were addressed, we definitely love the location and would like to stay here again.

Manasota Key Gem!

Fantastic, private property right on the Gulf. Such a unique and fun home. Having stayed at several properties on the north side of Manasota Key, this was worthy of a repeat stay. Despite being adjacent to Manasota Key Beach, which tends to get very busy in the summer, this info was part of the listing and all things considering, it wasn't all that bad on the northern/residence side of the beach. Definitely worth a relaxing wak through the lush vegitation on the property! is

Great beach escape

My husband, 2 college aged children and I stayed at this home in June 2024. We chose it because it’s right on the beach and it’s also a 8 minute drive to where my parent’s live in Venice. We wanted a family vacation near my parents so we could spend time with them. The views from the upper level of the home are amazing and we loved hanging out on the upper deck. There were plenty of beach chairs provided and we enjoyed taking long walks on the beach and we collected lots of shells and shark teeth. There was plenty of room for all of us. There are two bedrooms and one full bath downstairs and one bedroom and one full and one half bath upstairs. The upstairs bedroom does not have a door. Rather, it is a curtain that separates the room. The layout and decor is funky but it worked for us. The property is large, tropical and private. It was great to disconnect and spend family time together. One note, the wi-fi is very spotty, cell phone coverage was also a bit spotty and we could not get the TV’s to work. But, we were okay with that. The contact person was very quick to respond with any questions we had. I would stay here again.

Peace and Quiet

I don't know if you can find a better property on the beach for peace and quiet. It has all the creature comforts anyone would need for a nice relaxing vacation. If you are with a group, and your over 6 feet tall, then you need to take the upstairs bedroom for the taller shower head. Also, check out Mimosa's for a really good breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Wonderful experience

Beautiful house and grounds. Like being in paradise. Private and peaceful. Exotic landscaping and all the amenities. The outdoor shower area was nice to use after a day on the beach. The upper deck views are spectacular. We will stay here again.

Great two week vacation!

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this unusual but beautiful home in an outstanding location. Everything was clean, functional and with many amenities not typically seen in a rental. We really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, gas grill, indoor pool and indoor sound system. We highly recommend this property!

Ant infestation, gross pool, and key amenities broken

DO NOT GO TO THIS PROPERTY. We rented this property from Thursday through Monday. We arrived at the property to find a stream (I mean piles) of dead ants all over the top floor of the house. Then we found lines of live ants in the kitchen, on the couch, and in our beds. My family and I got bit by ants while sleeping and/or sitting on the couch. We had to throw away some food because of the ants. I called the owner on Thursday upon arrival to let him know, and he sent someone on Saturday afternoon. The exterminator said the problem would be resolved in 3-5 days, well after our time there would be over. The outside fire pit and the gas grill did not work. We were really looking forward to using the fire pit. The owner came to look at the outside fire pit and could not fix it but said he would follow up the next day. He did not and we were unable to use that or the grill. Same goes for the hammock, which we were looking forward to using but it did not exist. The indoor pool was gross. There was a layer of yellow mildew all around the top, and dead worms/millipedes and sand in the pool. Ironically the instructions indicate that if you get sand in the pool you will have to pay for the cleaning but of course we arrived to a dirty house with sand in the pool. The upstairs refrigerator stopped working on our last day (Sunday). Again, we had to throw away more food as a result. Food we would have used on the grill or firepit, if either worked. We are reasonable people who were willing to chalk this up to the owner obviously being new to this, but upon sharing our feedback and hoping to get some type of fair compensation for our expensive and disappointing weekend, we have been met with dismissal and rudeness by both the owner and the Evolve team. In looking back over reviews of other’s experiences with Evolve, this sadly seems to be the norm for how they treat customers. Fortunately, there are other places for you to spend your money. This place should not be one of them. Learn from our mistake and don’t spend the money on this place. Not worth it. The location is great but that is it.
