"Excellent location!"
If you want to be close to downtown Palm Springs, this is the place to stay. The hotel is currently doing renovations near the pool but it really wasn't an issue. They should have mentioned this before we booked even though it turned out ok. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.

"The price is nice but, in Indio (not Palm Springs)"
Despite having been built in 1980, the Hotel is in great shape and very clean. The adjoining restaurant (Cactus Jack's) is a Steak House on one side and a Coffee Shop on the other with a friendly crew and a full Bar. The pool and jacuzzi were both top notch. The drive to neighboring La Quinta is only 5 minutes but, Downtown Palm Springs is 30 minutes.

" Great location but in need of upgrading "
Overall our experience was nice for a short stay. The hotel staff was great for the most part- all friendly and helpful! That staff was probably the best thing about the hotel! The hotel lobby is nice and modern in a minimalist sort of way. But the disappointing thing is the rest of the hotel didn't look as good- the elevator, hallways and outdoor entry to our room gave it the feeling of a 2 star motel! It definitely needs to be improved in that aspect! Although once we stepped into our room, it was good. The room is modern and spacious and bed was comfortable with extra pillows(which I liked!) . Only complaint is the bathroom which was in need of repair- toilet smelled & didn't flush well, the door hinges were loose and the shower pressure was really low. Also, the pool was clean enough but nothing great. Construction was being done outside of the pool area so wasn't good timing for us. The lounge chairs and other outdoor structures are old and need to be updated. The restaurant at the hotel had great food though and excellent service. So overall, it wasn't the greatest but satisfactory & pleasing for a 2-night stay!
